Basically, there were Chinese subtitles in the movie, and those subtitles were badly translated back into English, probably using a translator.
So English -> Chinese -> Crappy English
that proccess
for example:
Jedi Council -> (Chinese words for Council of Elders or Presbytarian Church) -> Presbytarian Church!
