My new sig and avatar

I finally got off my ass and said, if everyone else can make their own, I guess I can too. Then I sat back down on my ass and made myself a Toronto Maple Leafs sig. Its the first sig I've ever made, besides the wallpapers I've just cropped to different sizes. I worked quite a while on the background, and I just kinda kept playing with different filters and effects with the logos and threw together some crazy lines and shapes. With the players in the foreground I just played with the blending options and used osme other filters. Any suggestions on what I should do next time to improve?

The avatar clearly isn't that complicated, but I like it. I didn't dio the cartoon, so don't give me any credit for that. BTW, does anyone know a way I can keep the filesize of the gif low without losing so much quality. I only got it under the limit by less than a kB. There seems to be a lot of grainon the alpha tween as well.

oh, and now that I look at it, my avatar seems to be gone. Cool.
