Why my life is pretty great right now

So what is this you would ask yourself. This is my new and vastly great idea for a thread.

This is the thread where you tell everyone what's not sucking in your life. And that's all.

Now, is this thread needed? Yes it is. You always see threads about where you can complain/rant and bullshit like that. So a feel good-thread is perfectly in order. Where you can bask in the glory of your own not-so-pityful life, or get seriously envious of other peoples happiness.

IndyPacer's story about him getting dumped made me call my fiancee and ask her if she's feeling anything the like - call me paranoid. So then I decided I wanted a thread like this.

Now it's properly qualified and I can proceed in telling you all why my life just isn't all that bad.

Things are looking good for my first book, first draft done and the initial reactions are very positive. That makes me all varm and fuzzy inside.

My engagement with my girl is getting completly final since we're buying rings. We're both students scraping together a living, so we've not been able to afford it before. But now they're getting purchased.

I have money in the bank for the first time in a year.

My oldest sister is pregnant with her second baby. That's awesome. Don't want one of my own since I'd be too bitter a dad to be good at it. But having the next best thing is fun.

Did I mention that I have money? In the bank? That goes over the sum of 10$? Fuck yeah.

Hopefully, there will be a puppy soon. I like dogs, been without one for 4 years, but that's changing now.

Well, lifes great since I got me a nice job, I'll be meeting two friends from the islands this Saturday at Carnaval after a gap of two years & I'll be joining college soon. Oh, I'm looking for my own place now too.

All in all, pretty well.

well it has been raining again in our country. i love rain. it gets me this cold and fuzzy feelin and the nights are never the same if it is cold at my place

anyways too much negatives for me at the moment. i'm sure to get back here when things look brighter. thats all for now

I'm getting paid $7.00 an hour serving breakfast at Burger King! So that's cool.

I just got a new cell phone, flip/color/camera, etc. So that's pretty cool.

I got the all time consecutive 3-point record for my camp yesterday. I hit 14 in a row. Other than that my life sucks right now, for the first time in my life sthe girl I like won't fucking go out with me. Fuck that shit.

Despite the trauma I've had to endure, I guess there's some things that I should be really happy about...

- I got a better summer job, working at an engineering firm, and I'm not even an engineer (thanks to connections).

- I only have two more years left of univeristy, I'm debt-free, and I'm coming off a 3.7 GPA, the highest in my program. My career is set.

- I got wonderful parents, shelter, food, a computer, and things that I'm lucky to have and own.

- Nobody wants to kill me.

Its summer break for me!

- despite me failing math and doing bad in school.
- my mom is now feelin good. ( she was in the hospital for a year and got out couple months ago)
- i am weight training and gettin fit for bball and stuff. gaining pounds
- about to get a car as well
- having a summer break
- good family and stuff

- youngin still
- still lookin for that right girl

Thanks for telling me that because I didn't know what exactly they considered a A- or B+ in terms of GPA. My GPA was a 3.8 average so I guess thats an A. In my 9th grade year, I wasn't doing as well I guess because I had to get use to being in a new school and environment. It was just a 3.0 in my 9th grade year.

Up 200 dollars in 3 poker nights in less than a week.

My GPA is like 2.0 but the public school system is a joke!

Well keep in mind that's my university's GPA system, so it might be different from other schools and universities. I think there's such a thing as a 5 point grade system, and a 3.7 could be different from another school's 3.7...

yeah a 3.7 at my school is a failing grade!

So whats the max? 5.0?

75% is the passing grade so if you get a score of 3.5 that is already 75% so anything below it its failed like 3.6=74, 3.7=73 and so forth

1.0 is the perfect 100....confuses the hell outta me a lot back in schooling days

Nothing to really cheer about.

Things are awesome for me this year... but i don't know why... lemme see...

- Mum had a baby boy in May... he's healthy and cute as hell... i made him smile the other day...
- This probably sounds lame, but this is my best ever year socially, my close mates are even closer lately, people treat me with respect these days, making friends left right and center, girls looking at me differently than they would last year and they actually like me physically now etc. (yep, that did sound lame )
- In 1 band, and another band wants me to join theirs, nothing like being in demand.
- I can't say i'm doing very well at school, but i still enjoy going for some reason.
- Got a solid weekend job that pays for my alchohol.
- Almost 18, so that means i'll be able to start driving soon, and going to pubs etc.
- I love where i live.
- Poo is still brown.

Yup Ive got nothing to complain about in my life either.

- Amazing girlfriend
- I play wheelchair bball and Im now in the Great Britain team
- Schoolworks going well
- Gonna be driving soon
- Could be playing ball in the States after uni
- Loving family
- Important friends
- Never having to have an operation which is rare for a cripple like me
- New titanium wheelchair, damn it looks nice

Just finished a hectic day and made it out alive

Only have one class tomorrow

3 day weekend coming up
