What's your purpose in life?

I stole this from another forum, but I figured it was interesting all the same. Has anyone figured out exactly what their purpose in life is? We're all around the same age but I'm assuming some are more clued in than others.

From a personal standpoint, I think my purpose in life is to (eventually) help other people. Not like rich housewives, but more kids (not COOLmac style) and teenagers who are probably going through alot of the things I've already been through myself. It's just a matter of using your own life experience to improve someone elses wellbeing. Add to the fact that I'm really not the kind of person who can push myself into being something hugely independant and important, I have no desire to become a millionaire business tycoon because I don't think I'd get anything from it.

So before my ranting started, the question was what do you think your purpose in life is?

I'll either be in the Army/Marines or be a police officer. No doubt about it. If I die I don't want to die the pussy way.

Commitment to Excellence... getting better each passing moment for myself and those around me... and then having a lot of children so at least one of them can carry on the tradition... maybe there's a bigger point down the road after many generations...

be good to others, learn something new everyday, have a laugh, don't take things too seriously, procreate (I want a couple of kids) as it is the fundamental purpose of animals and that is to keep the species and the genetics (regardless of how bad some people's are) alive....

I'm happy with how things are going at the mo, but like many people I'm looking for something more....some people say "All You Need Is Love"....but who knows....

Those of you who just want a good paying job and family, that's cool and all, but IMO that's not enough to be truly happy when you're on your deathbed. Think about it- isn't there a lot more to life?

For me, it's to better myself as a person, to be a good person to others, and to learn something new everyday. I always strive to make myself stronger, emotionally and intellectually. I'd like to devote myself to career and family - being happy with a graphic design career, and being happy with a loving wife and eventually, kids. To me, that's what life is all about

Thre are more things that pop up eventually... money, power, greed... and the decision comes down to a few critical moments... just be sure you make the decision that seems more appropriate at ach given time and never regret mistakes, only learn from them...

Today i went on a trip to visit a Orphan Home(if i was correct that it is called the orphan home)with my classmates.
I feel terrible and sorry to those sunshine (kids....some of them were juz born like 9-10 months)need to live without love from parents.Yea...i have a good day there and spend some good time there cheering the kids up and have fun wif them.
From today...i'll try my best to help those unfortunate person.
I'm not trying to be a hero...or somthing like Santa...but i'll contribute my part to make these world a better place

i got plans for a steady 9-5 job with a family. I don't give a rats ass about money as long as i'm happy, and then in retirement, or perhaps earlier, i wanna do charity work, im thinking Africa.
