Anyone heard of the story behind this?
What do you guys think?
If you haven't, check this out:

Personally, I think this makes perfect logical sense... I read somewhere that only about 100-200 people have commited suicide after listening to this. Now... generally, really sad people will listen to sad songs, therefore the majority of the people who listened to this song + commited suicide, must have been really depressed to begin with, hence after listening they couldn't take it anymore and commited suicide.

Agreed. I don't think any of the suicides connected with Gloomy Sunday have truly been spontaneous; surely there are some urban myths that have their roots in some true accounts of suicides linked with the song. Perhaps it might have triggered some suicides, but I'm sure a lot of the references in the suicide notes were made because the individuals felt the lyrics expressed how they were feeling in a manner they couldn't.

the song does sound sad, but not till a stage where you can kill yourself.

coldplay has some sad songs. but it never triggered suicides, all this shit is just mere coincedence

It doesn't really matter if they are disbanded or not(unless you're a fan), the songs are still there...

I am.
The past songs are still there, but there will no more future songs.
