Untill we learn how to accelerate to the speed of light (and not vaporize or turn into plasma) I guess we're stuck with the same old boring today...
Pff, speculations... Just because Einstein said it doesn't make it true.Darth DWeaver99027 wrote:The very speed is impossible to overcome,
Yea, but I wasn't referring to that; I refuse to fully abide the set theories of standardised physics. I wonder what would happen, if anything special, if we managed to travel faster than the speed of light (STFU Albert).Darth DWeaver99027 wrote:but the fact is that the closer you move to the speed of light, the less 'time' you experience to go by, in relation with others moving at regular speeds. So it is not really 'time travel' , rather a diffwerentiation of the 'experirnce' and 'effects' of time on you.
The best argument is that fact that if time travel were possible, we would have been invaded by tourists from the future
We should trust to DWeaver words, after all,he was at 9th level of hell

could it also be possible that, if time travel were possible, the abilities of the tourists from the future were somehow limited/restricted to such extent that they could only observe our present world, rather than alter it? (maybe in another dimension that's why we cannot see them)
That's excacly why I 'refuse to fully abide the set theories of standardised physics'. In 100 years people will be laughing their asses off at what we thought was true and correct.Darth DWeaver99027 wrote:but then again, they said teh same thing about the Newtonian gravity laws some centuries back...
I've thought about this a few times, and come up with why should anything happen? If you actually go back in time, you are there as a physical body. And since you are there as a physical body, then there you are, just like any normal person. Whatever you do in the past doesn't affect anything because you are not direcly affected by the events or actions. The the same shoud go for when you go Back To the Future©...Darth DWeaver99027 wrote:Let's assume you travel back in time and kill your grandfather. People back then announced that they had discovered and invented everything in physics. Every formula, constant and so on... But ok, 100 years is maybe to little--- Let's say 500 or something like that then; it's not the point in how long, but that we always seem to prove ourselves wrong in the areas we so strongly teach and advocate (did someone say advocate?Darth DWeaver99027 wrote:Nobody is laughing at Sir Isaac... he set the base for something more ... Yes. I'm not sure if I believe that or if I believe that there are endless of planets just like this on in the entire universe which leads to the same thing, that there are exactly the same places as this one; but also endless ones with endless differences...Darth DWeaver99027 wrote:That is the theory of paraller universes you are getting to... Interesting enough, but a little too comfortable for comfort... According to it, there is a different universe for every little thing that has the potentila of evolving differently. Different universe with me scratching my nose, different universe if I decide not to scratch it... More philosophical than anything else...
do believe in travel between parallel dimensions....good old Quantum Physics or whatever....it is scientifically possible....logic says we can so it will happen....perhaps

People thought the smallest thing in the world was the atom. People considered the four basic elements fire, air, water and earth. People thought world was flat. People thought that the earth rotated around the sun. And so on... It's a rather big list.
