Rechargeable Batteries

Postby beau_boy04 on Sun Apr 03, 2005 4:16 pm

I just bought 4 AAA Duracell batteries from Rite Aid. I only paid $10 dollars but it has a $3 dollars mail-in-rebate so the final price is 7. Anyways the batteries were made in Singapore. I had 2 choices, ones were made in China and others in Singapore and I certainly picked the latter one because I know products made in China aren't that good as far as quality goes.

Batteries Spec:
DC2400
NiMH 1.2 V
750 mAh

I also have a couple of AA Energizer ACCU Rechargeable:

NH15 AA
1.2 V
1600 mAh

I'm not sure what the mAh is but apparently the higher his number is the longer is last after being charged.
I also noticed that rechargeable batteries are 1.2 V and the non-rechargeable ones are 1.5 V. Why is that?

By the way what do you guys look for when buying rechargeable batteries. And what are the best rechargeable batteries for Digital Cameras?

Thank you in advance.

I already made this post in your digicam thread :(

cyanide wrote:Definitely a rechargeable size AA NiMH battery!!! I've done a lot of research on cameras, and this one is definitely the way to go. I'd recommend at least an NiMH 2200 mAh Powerex brand batteries. They last looong, and recharging is great. Get the MAHA CH204F recharger if you can.

I have rechargab;e batteries that came with my CD player. They're Panasonic and they're those skinny ones. I had some Sony ones for my old CD player that were white and green and worked great.
