Freeware games

I've seen these topics on other sites, and I thought it may be a good idea to have one here. However, on other ones, people just copy lists from freeware games sites... I don't think is most effective. I'd rather if you have an excellent freeware game, post it w/ links, but say why it's good in your own opinion. Then people will know to download it.

One of my favourite freeware games is Soldat. It has decent graphics, good physics, lots of weapons and blood, and is really really fun to play multiplayer with friends. The download isn't too big either, and it has a large following. I'd recommend taking a look. It gets kind of boring after a while, but still makes a good time passer. http://www.soldat.prv.pl/

So hopefully some more people can post, I'm really hunting for a good freeware game to play.

I've heard of Soldat before. It got pretty good reviews. Can't think of any games to post at the moment

Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, the multiplayer add-on of Wolfenstein, is completely free. You can download it in many places. Try also the Team Fortress mod, which looks pretty interesting

I hate Soldat!!!
A lot of my freinds play that shit, and it's TOO FUCKIN FAST!!!
I can't seem to focus on such a rapid game, damn...

Yeah, it takes a LOT of getting used to. You also have to get used to the fact that you're going to die a lot. After that, it's pretty fun.

I've just been scouring the internet today for some freeware games that I want to play. I've not been having much luck
