I'll do the same old bullshit where I single out poor little bastards roaming around the forums & I'll give them the ever appreciated "shoutout". I'll also be giving my opinion on every one I feel like giving an opinion on & I won't expect you folks to like it. I'll summarize (sp?) whatever's been happening on the NLSC & give my opinions about various random bullshit.
How about we start off with the opinions on various people, this isn't an attempt to start a flame war, it's merely an attempt to voice my opinions about certain users, if you feel the need to express yourself and/or defend yourself for whatever I will say/write about you in my posts, feel free to do so, it's good therapy for you. Hmm, there aren't many people I really have a problem with, there are some I dislike at the moment but in due time that'll probably change.
Off the top let's start off with Tales, he used to be quite a funny & entertaining person. I'm greatful to him for showing me various threads & telling me various stories about the NLSC before my arrival, but nowdays he just seems to be a robot/zombie type thing. His attempts at humor are pitiful & upon receiving the moderator status he's changed drastically in terms of being more of a "beware, I'm here." type of person. Naturally he'll try to camouflage his sterness with his flaming hot spoon he'll stick up various places. Anyways, let's not go there. As a person Tales is a great person, lately though I've just gotten the feeling he tries too hard & isn't very fit for the moderator status. I may come off as a joke since I was one of the people to actually bring up Tales' name when it came to naming new moderators, I guess I just didn't realize people change when put in a position of power.
Anyways, Tales has been around a lot longer than me so I wouldn't be surprised if I saw alot of flames coming towards me for this one.
I never liked Lanky Man but that's a known issue so I won't really go into that one.
Najira has been annoying me somewhat lately but he hardly posts anything of himself for me to actually say some un-nice things to him, his posts are 75% lyrics & 25% gibberish. No fun in that. He comes off as a bit of demented person to me & coming from a demented person, that says alot.
CoolMac is just as scary, perhaps scarier, he's a bible quoting version of Humper. Funny thing is that even Homor knew when he should just shut the fuck up, CoolMac here just keeps on rambling about some boat being flooded and just scares the living jeebers out of me.
Onyx is in the same category as these two above in my books, he posts just for the sake of posting & hardly ever (if ever) makes any sense. He's the type of person that actually posts before he thinks. I bet he has cobwebs in his skull, cobwebs like in a Beetlejuice movie.
Let's detour for a moment, I used to actually think the word was cow-webs, I never understood the connection since I never saw a web on a cow. Anyways, back we go...
James was bugging me alot for quite awhile, but since he's taken a bit of a back seat and has actually promised to better his posting, I've got no problems with the boy.
Andreas Dahl annoys me too, not as a poster/moderator, just because he's always all over me. He's always some way or the other trying to play peacemaker, I don't know if he's trying to win the Nobel Peace Prize orso but he should just let things go it's own course from time to time. His excuse is that it's his duty as a mod, valid reason, no arguments there but in the General Talk section shit happens, let it go & move on. Don't try to be a pacifer (sp?) all the time because it's not always wanted.
Anyways, I don't think I have much to say about anyone else for now so let's just move onto some more pleasant stuff.
Alot of old(er) community members have been absent for quite awhile now, alot of them don't post as often as we'd like them to but for every old poster a new one has somewhat emerged. New additions such as Sit Drex, G.O.A.T., Cyanide, The X & JoeBuddah have become regulars around here & are actually worth reading. It's good to see some new folks around & to actually see them sticking it out despite a nasty jab here & there. They take it, suck it up & actually improve themselves. Not to mention they don't think from their anusholes. Most surprising would probably be G.O.A.T. though, for a 12 year old this guy's amazing. Old School Fool is like 15 orso but comes off as a toddler with a keyboard. G.O.A.T. is severly under-rated in my opinion so special props to him. Hmm, don't ask me what makes it different from normal props, I don't know it myself.
The management of the site has gone through some changes too & we've gotten new team members, the best by far being Jae since he does what he has to do & still manages to contribute as usual. He also came up with the so famous "Jae's Weekly Edition" which has posters & readers waiting for the next issue everytime it's released. It's a new & fresh idea that gives alot of people alot of entertainment, me being one of them. It also gives us perspective as to who is & isn't a dipshit. If the person is a disphit, he'll whine & mope about the fact that he wasn't in the power rankings (Onyx, hint fucking hint!!) & we actually get a good image of who's improving their postings etc.
It's a shame the site hasn't heard from Yohance in awhile but last I spoke to him he said he's outgrown NBA Live & is busy with his life & job. He's got little time left for the site so he'd rather just stay away than come and not be able to give his best. He's probably the best moderator the site has had. (Well, atleast since I've joined it.) I wish him all the best with everything he's got going on & hope that sometime in the near future he considers returning to his old posting habits, which although is unlikely, is still quite a nice dream.
I haven't been in contact with Stevan personally but as we all know he's still in some country getting laid by hot blonde women with big boobs & enjoying himself. Hopefully he'll be posting quite regularly once he is back.
Matthew has also started posting less and frankly that just sucks, he's like Jae the second & once these two are combined it's hell of a lot of fun because you see everyone squirming to hide. I am glad he's part of the NLSC team now & even happier that he hasn't changed. If anyone could run the site besides Andrew it would be Matthew & Jae. They've got level heads and are probably the best option besides Andrew. Anyways, since Andrew isn't going anywhere soon (thankfully) it's all good.
Andrew too has opened up quite a bit in recent months, with fewer limitations he's been trying different things such as mods & other stuff. Sooner or later you all will realize what I'm talking about. Sometimes I get mad at him for no apparent reason and I proceed to ramble off nasty things but he always takes it in stride & never really lashes back at me. I'm pretty grateful for that, if he was the type to lash back I'd never reach these 4000 posts. I would've been gone before I reached my first hundred. Andrew's an alright person at the end of the day, as I said, at times he can really piss you off with some little things but when looking at the larger picture, this guys a-okay. Besides, he still hasn't come after me asking me to pay the NLSC beer bill since all I keep doing is drinking beer & putting it on my tab, as long as he doesn't ask me to pay up, it's all good.
On a bright side, Ernest has taken a sabbatical (sp?) from posting which is great news to the community since we're actually allowed to say words such as fuck without having a topic locked and/or being warned.
Jowe has become the king of one/two/three line burns, whatever Jae used to do before being named a moderator, Jowe's just taken over from there. His lines are good & force you to smile even if it's like 5 in the morning & you're sleepy as hell.
Matt (Stack42) has also become a general talk regular & it's great. I tend to stay away from his Bonez N' Thug's related posts but for the rest it's a pleasure to read the man's posts. Great addition to the General Talk, here's hoping he doesn't slack off & start posting less.
Kobe4Mvp is probably the best Laker fan on the forums, a bigger Kobe fan but since he's also a big Laker fan, I forgive him for that. (
