Strange/Crazy shots...

I was remembering today how once in my life I made an incredible shot and of course I'll never do anything like it again. But it's just funny.

This happened last year. It was like 18:00 and me and my friend were at school after everyone left shooting some hoops. I shot a bad one and the ball went far away in the direction of the back of the basket. I went to grab the ball and I was like 20 mts. away looking at the back of the basket. Just for the sake of stupidity I drop kicked the basketball (just like in rugby, with a little bounce before the kick) and up it went. It bounced on the ground below the hoop and went in upwards then went down like a regular shot.
At first I did not realize what just happend, I heard a weird noise (the swishes of the net) and dismissed them. Then I saw my friend sitting with a REAL astonished face and I was like "What's wrong man" and he started jumping up and down laughing and then he told me everything and I was real excited!!
The bad thing is that there was nobody that could have seen the feat but we went to a teacher and started jumping and talking shit and he was like "WTF?" but it was cool.

That was it, I made the best possible effort to explain myself.
Has anybody made inbelievable shots that will happen only once

Heh, mine's amateur compared to you guys. Mine was just a bet with a girl for a can of Coke where I have to hit a halfcourt shot on one try. The thing was, I didn't have any pop at home, and she had stacks of them, so pressure was on me. But I made the shot anyway.

The craziest shot I ever made was on last monday night. We were up by 12 when the other team had scored to cut it to 10 with 6 seconds to go, I got the inbound and launched it from the free throw line extended 65 feet, the ball hit off the bracket holding the basket up and it went in swish. My mates bought me a beer each for that , the biggest bullshit shot i've ever made.

1. i was running baseline, when a friend launches an alley pass from half court (fast break situation)..... i jumped and caught the ball behind the backboard and i couldnt get a shot off but i continued in the air and released the ball when i was descending on the other side of the backboard....it went straight up & swish

2. I was just messing around before practice, i took a half court shot and swished it then a girl says "i bet you cant do that again" so i just grabbed the ball launched a shot and banked it!

3. This one is one of my favs.....we were playing a game, (half court) last minute, we were down by 2...i had the ball in my hands and i took a mid range shot which was off, they rebounded and had the ball and were running the clock down, in the last 3 seconds i stole the ball off their PG, cleared it past half court and heaved a 30ft shot off balance with 2 defenders in my face, it banked in and i celebrated wildly.

It wasn't strange or crazy...but once I received a pass (I suck at shooting and I'm probably the 6th option of the team) and I found myself alone, in the FT line. We were down by 1, the clock was running out, but I felt no pressure and just shot the ball.

Another one, but I didn't made it. We were playing against a mediocre team, but we played like SHIT that game. Anyway, we were down by 2 with a minute left. The other team fouled us so we got an inbound pass under their basket. I went to do it. I saw some guy running around mid-court, so I threw the ball to him. Unfortunately, he was runnin to set a pick, so he didn't see the ball and I made a back-court violation. I wanted to kill myself...but I got up and went to D. I was playing C (all of our big guys fouled out), and I was guarding some 6'3 guy. I'm 5'9 and I was having some cramps on both of my calfs. So we foul the other team, and they shoot 2 FT's. The guy missed the first one...the second one...MISS! I tried to jump with all the strenght I had left, and I tipped the damn ball. I got up again, but I finally catched the ball. We were going to make wathever we could do, there was like 10 seconds left. We set a few picks, and our best player in the floor was going to shoot...but they foul us again. We get a mid-court inbound pass (I didn't went ) with 4 seconds left. Inbound, fakes one player, one dribble and launched a 35 ft going out of bounds, over 2 streching players that BANKED IN. 0.7 secs left, the other can't get a shot, and we celebrated wildly

that's what happens to us all the time....we play real bad against sucky teams but good against good teams. Actually, i run the team (PG) so if im having a good day generally everyone is cos i set them up with open shots, keep the ball moving, hit the open 3's etc but we never play D....i only play man-2-man....i slack off when we play zone, which is 75% of the time.
Our team is also the smallest in the L...we got nobody 6'0+ so we always get outrebounded.

Anyways....this isn't a shot, but ive pinned a guy to the backboard once when he was going for a layup, that was cool....i also got pinned like MJ did to Mercer once i thought i had the 2 points

I remember another weird ass shot that I made. I was at the corner for a three, where the edge of the backboard was facing me, and my shot was off and it nudged against the front of the backboard (not the edge) and went in. So I basically made a bank shot from the corner.

Another time was not a halfcourt shot or anything, but I was open for a layup and some guy from behind grabbed my arm and pushed me down for a flagrant foul, but I chucked that ball up in the air. I didn't know what the hell happened until my teammates were cheering me on, pulling me up from the floor and screamed, "AND1 BITCH!"

So I had some trouble with the half court shot, so just for fun I was doing stupid rituals before shooting. I threw a lob, did a Michael Jackson twist and did that famous "Holding your balls and put your other arm in the air" pose, grabbed the ball after the bounce and made it finally.

So now I had to shoot from the 3-Point line on the other end on the court, so I did the exact same thing and once again it bounced in. Then I had to shoot from the FT line and once again I did the MJ thing and made another shot. My friend just sat on the floor and could barely breath because of the laughing. I couldnt make the full court shot though.

I think not, It wasnt serious at the end and if the other team is alowed to score in the end, why arent we? The other teams players congratulated me on my shot and made jokes about it with me, so it's not like they took offense.

Lol.. maybe from now on if we are being sarcastic we should type in italics so we can sort of distinguish whats serious and whats not, becuase i had no idea you were kidding before.
