If only I were more powerful, I would shut down MTV and all reality shows. All MTV does is advocate sluts/whores, and alo it thinks rich people are the only ones in the world. No more music. It's reality TV now. They're the reason modern music is dead. Stupid fuckoffs at MTV.

TV is like 70% reality shows now, and thats why I can't stand watching anything other than sportscentre, dvds, seinfeld and nba/nfl/etc.. games. Broadcasting companies must believe that they're not making enough money, because they have gone out and taken most of their staff, and replaced them with people off the street all whoring themselves for a prize, on shows with no writers and full of stupid or offensive gimmicks.

I can't wait until someone comes up with the idea for a show with a group of people who start out on a deserted island. They are all then injected with a deadly disease, that will kill them in 10-12 weeks (or whenever the season finale is scheduled), and then they all compete to win the antidote.Now thats entertainment.

That's why I decided to get Foxtel (apart from the NBA coverage, of course). Free to Air in Australia has become a wasteland of reality TV and Australian drama series.

Some executive from Channel Ten remarked not long back "The truth is, Australians want more reality TV." I guess that explains the decline in ratings. I can only speak for myself, but this Australian wants less reality TV, much, much less.

i whole-heartedly agree with you andrew...free-to-air is SHIT here in Oz...there are some nights where i am actually looking forward to going to bed because of all the crap on the box.

i wont be surprised when tv exec's get so desperate for new ideas that they start fusing reality shows together.

Agreed, that's going to be the next step. Crossover reality shows with ridiculous gimmicks, all hyped as being "bigger and better".

reality shows r going to the limits.....getting ppl married to win 1 mill dollars.....or getting like 30 women to try for 1 guy......Survivor was great but its unleashed a whole new genre of degrading reality series.
