License/Permit

I was just wondering how many of you have your license or permit
Or do any of you just drive around without either, illegally

I just started this thread because I am 16 and get my license on March 22
I have had my permit for 4 months so far and its just going by so slooooow

Also if you have a car, what kind?
I dont have shit, and I wont until I get off of my lazy butt and get a job

I have my permit but I will take my drivers test in 2 FLIPPING MONTHS!

Got my license last year; 6/23/04 to be exact. Yeah, that permit thing sucks; it takes forever for yours to get processed-at least mine did anyway- and the waits suck ass. My picture sucks too. I look like a fucking martian. As for the kind of car, I'm driving a good 'ol rice burner- a 1998 green Honda Civic. Gets decent gas mileage in this time of HIGH ghas prices. My other car is a 2001 Chevy Prism. 35 miles to the gallon. Before I got licensed, I would ride my bike everywhere-I mean EVERYWHERE. Driving kicks ass. NOTE: both of these cars are not mine. They're my parent's.

You get to a point where you are sick of having your dad sit with your in the car and you just want your damn license.

I'm at that point right now. I feel like committing sucide but making it look like my brother murdered me so hopefully he'll get sent to jail for life

i should be getting my permit seeing as i turned 16, 3 months ago. but i'm not. i've been looking at the book, i have the papers, yet my dad refuses to take me

I failed it the 1st time and almost aced it the 2nd time I went
So I could of already had it by now my license that is

How do you fail? That test was so freaking easy I got like one wrong and I was done before the test was over (it kicked me out!). Easy.

We have like 5 different tests here divided by colors, I had the next to hardest test there was, but I got all of the signs correct, and I only missed 2 more than what was possible to miss and pass
The 2nd time around I had the next to easiest one so
I didnt study that much either

I just sat on a computer and the test popped up and once you got the amount right you needed the program shut down.

Mine was on paper and we had to put a slash by the correct answer
How many questions was yours? Or how many did you have to get right

I got 40/43 but I know there were more questions I just needed to get 40.

I've had mine since I was 16... over 2 years ago... all I have to say is just be patient and accept whatever car you get. (unless if you're rich, then milk your parents for what they're worth). I was just happy with anything that stops and goes when it's supposed to

Damn you people are lucky in America driving when your 16!

In Australia, you can get your Learners when your 16 which means that you can drive a car, but only when a person with a license is with you. Then when we turn 18 we can get our license to finally drive a car when we want to...

One good thing in Australia tho ius that we can buy alcohol when were 18 not 21

Here in BC you need to wait for a loooong time.

1) take driving lessons of some kind.

2) take a test

3) 12 months with a red 'L' sign in the back of your car which means you have to drive with someone else who is 25+ and has a full license.

4) take another test

5) 24 months with a green 'N' sign in the back of you car. You can drive by yourself and can have a maximum of one non immidiate family member in the car. One friend.

6) Take yet another test

7) Now you have a fulll license.

hah... only 12 months of N for me + no limitations except for the alcohol thing

oh, and... i can do teh class 5 test already, but i havn't touched a steering wheel in a couple months already and i'm lazy...

I walk to school...15-20 minutes. I can get a ride if it's harsh raining though. You city folk and your skytrain...

Then again I live in West Van and there are beaches and mountains and everything in between.

well i have to get to surrey... from burnaby...

lol surrey is harsh ghetto... there're bums, ambulances and cops everywhere outside the skytrain station... every single day

I suppose walking might be a little unreasonable for that kind of commute.

We take a permit test at 16 here, wait 6 months and take a driving test and you have your license

had mine since 18, just renewed the thing......so yeah ive had it for a year...i drive my mums car....94 Lancer....gotta get a job to buy a car but i don't NEED it, i just want one.
