Yeah. Soulful singer. (Y)

He's like a mixture of Country/RnB/Hip-Hop

I think he's the one that collaborated at the NBA Live 2005 track 'Carolina Pride' (Y)

One of the best underrated singers, IMO.

he's Nate Dogg 2.0 (although not quite as good, no one can beat Nate's voice on "Scandalouz" or "How Long Will They Mourn Me"

Not just Anthony Hamilton (who is an amazing artist) but John Legend's new album has me constantly listening to it over and over again. Both are upcoming artists who don't get as much respect as they should get.

John Legend and Anthony Hamilton are both great. The only downside is that Anthony is now getting exploited for his voice. I hope he doesn't become the next 'King of Hooks' Nate Dogg, since recently he's been featured on the hooks for songs for Nelly, Talib Kweli, Twista and Miri Ben-Ari. Charlene is that fiyah though.

sadly, i'm pretty sure that both Legend and Hamilton will be the 'hook guy'

everyone knows Nate Dogg but i'll be damned if i know the name of any of his albums

I got Hamilton’s Coming from where I'm from a while ago and I gotta say I'm actually getting a bit tired of him. He needs to release another album...
My favourite song on that album is Float; that song is just so sweet and makes me just really relaxed. Great song (y), great album (y), great artist (y).

I just got John Legend's Get Lifted yesterday and have only listened to the first two songs and I already like him more that Anthony.
I'll be back when I've listened to the entire album...

:scold: No illegal download talk...

Used to love you is a good song, it got more hiphop in it than most of the other ones. Although I like It Don't Have To Change the most so far. Smooth song with a soul inspiration in it. Second for me comes Ordinary People, I just love the sound in it. Number One is also a great song...

You should be able to find something in your friendly neighbourhood P2P client.

No illegal download talk...

Well techincally it's not... I'm pretty sure it's legal in most places if the purpose of downloading music is to either back-up your existing music, i.e you already have the CD, or to kind of "sample" the work with the intention of buying the CD. Which is what he's doing. Although I could be entirely wrong on that, I don't think we have very strict rules on this in Australia.

Yes he can back up all the music he wants, but then it has to be his own music, which means it has to be his own cd that he rips of... But that's not what we’re talking about.

The laws in Australia are more relaxed so it seems, downloading is ok but uploading isn't apparentely... I'm sure that won't last long though.

i believe that sharing between 'friends' is legal, it's a loophole that allows P2P netowrks to stay open. So if my 'friend' uploads something it isn't illegal to download it.

That's the best way of sampling music too, w/o downloading many artists wouldn't get much exposure. They suffer some in loss of sales, but that works both ways. That's pretty much how i get all my albums before buying them, Cd's cost $25 so i don't wanna buy them blindly.
