Security Seal on my jacket------Jacket is not stolen..

Postby Username123 on Tue Dec 14, 2004 2:44 pm

Ok my story starts of back in November 12, where i got my jacket. After a week or two the jacket looked too big on me so i decided i was going to exhange it for a smaller size. However the store has a policy of 7 day exchange. After stalling the exchange I went today (December 13) to get my jacket exchanged.

Luckily the store manager exchanged my jacket after a month (Y). I was happy and all that the store ppl actually exchanged the jacket with all dirt and stuff on the jacket. Anyway I went home and checked that there was the BIG ASS GREY SECURITY SEAL THINGY.
The security thing looks like:
 Its Grey
 Circle
 I heard if u try to take it off ink spreads all over
 There is a special machine that takes it off.

The funny thing is i threw out the recipt so i have no proof that i bought this jacket. I dont knw what to do  So if there is any smart person to give me advice on how to take this stupid Securty thing PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!!!!!! Any criminals out there

I heard if you bit it really hard and pull at the same time it will come off and nothing will happen. It's more of a decoy to scare you.

No, I'm being serious. It works.

Also, what color is the jacket? If it's black then the ink won't even show up...ever think of that?

Wrap the jacket in glad wrap (it's that plastic sandwich wrap stuff), and leave only the security thing outside of it. Then pull it off and if anything comes out, at least it won't go on the jacket.

...this is what happens when you get a stolen jacket. (n)

Just cover the jacket with something and try your best not to ruin it if you're yoo embarrassed to go back to the store. I personally hate returning stuff, and in this case it might look dodgy so I can understand why you wouldn't wanna go back...

Actually today i did not go to school cause the weather was supposed to be -20 degrees. I had my spring jacket my it would not handle the weather. The jacket is not stolen cause if it was, the alarm thing in the store would start ringing. My jacket is not black its white. so if ink spreads i am dead.

Yeah, that's what I tried to say a few posts up. the only ones I've seen are all just magnetic sensors to set off door alarms. the 'ink' myth started to stop people from just ripping off the tag in the store and walking out

Well I've seen those ink things on Hardwood Classics jerseys, so I don't really know what to do.

Maybe put a cup or something underneath it and poke a hole in it and drain out the Ink.

Also, if you're never gonna figure it out and aren't willing to take risks, you might as well take it back and try to explain.

YES!!!!!!!!
They took that thing out of my jacket :D They did ask lots of questions like when did you buy it? Where is the recipt? and stuff like that. Luckly the sotre did not have the alram thing. The guy that worked there said that the machine that took the security seal out was broken. So he had to take it out with some tool (i forgot the name). So this means that there was no ink inside, he said that its only a magnetic pin--you would need a srtong magnet to take that pin inside the security seal.

So riot, donatello and IDiot were rite about the ink stuff and the magnetic pin (Y)

I stole a bottle of Pepsi from Coles once. Then I stopped at the checkout on my way out and gave them some money, then walked out with the Pepsi.
