Confessions of a Gay Rapper?!? I don't believe this.....

Postby John-John Joe on Sun Dec 12, 2004 12:11 am

I hope you guys didn't just eat because what you're about to read is capable of making you hurl. Few things before we get started, the comment I just made about it being disgusting makes me seem like I'm a "homophobe." Maybe I am I'm not sure, but I do know that I find the lifestyle incredibly disagreeable to say the least.

The following is some interview with a supposed popular multi-platinum rap artist who is secretly gay that was ran in the Village Voice. the interviewer himself says a bunch of gay stuff. The post after that is the response to it from radio personality Wendy Williams who some of you may know from VH1, she loves to gossip. What she say is mindblowing man, mindblowing.

I'd love to hear your responses, whether or not you believe it. Or maybe if you even care or not. How would you feel if you found out that your favorite rapper was gay? For non-rap fans who clicked on this because the topic sounded intriguing, how would you feel if you found out your favorite rock/metal/alternative artist was gay? Hell, what about your favorite NBA player? Think about those questions while you read the following, okay here goes:

CONFESSIONS OF A GAY RAPPER
BY JAMAL X

"So what is it you want to know?" he asks in a cool voice that sounds like he is trying to put the moves on me. Or maybe I am just a pit paranoid. Though one of Billboard's top selling rap acts has finally agreed to openly talk about his sexuality with a member of the press for the first time, he still wishes for his identity to remain a secret. A secret I have promised to carry to my grave.

Truthfully, I am not sure what to ask, since I am supposed to be politically correct and accept homosexuality. What made you decide that you wanted to come out of the closet? I try to ask without looking interested in a date, only this story. I can not help but judge him by his over-zealous display of homeboy mannerism, since it would be useless to say that I am straight, I wait for an answer. "I always knew that I had an interest in men," he replies. "It is just that I could not always act on it. When you come from the projects, brothers are not proud to announce that they are into that kinda shit. But once we all got f*cked up, then there is a different brotherhood going round the room and motherf*ckers will go down on your shit and vice versa."

So what you are telling me is that there are many so-called brothers who dabble into other lifestyles under the influence of drugs or alcohol, I probe.

"Yo, a nut is a nut." He laughs to himself. "You know when you are on lockdown, it is alright to have a sissy suck your d*ck....Yo, you may even f*ck them, but when your ass is free and everything is supposed to be lovely, you are not wit that kind of shit. But yo, that shit is like crack. One good whiff and your ass is whipped. You see, only another brother can satisfy your need. Yo, I believe that a man is made for a woman and a woman is made for a man, but only a man knows what a man needs and feels. Only a man can satisfy another man."

So what about your personal life? Is there a special person in your life?

"There is, but when I was on tour last summer, my lover was not too happy about me being away so long. Plus he knew that there were other motherf*ckers on the road who were into it just like me, you now what I am saying. Just cause we swinging like that do not mean we lost our male instincts", he says with a wink.

"Let me tell you about being on tour: It is like a combination of being in jail - everybody is like on morphine - and being motherf*ckin kids in a toy store. First up, nobody has any scruples or morals and nobody's got their memory anymore," he says. He remembers one night at Freaknic in Atlanta, near the beginning of his career. "We did this show at the Coca-Cola parking lot. There was like a million motherfu*kers and they were from everywhere. So after the show we went back to the hotel and shit. And we started drinking and getting high; Around 2 O'clock in the morning niggas are f*cked up! And they are like, Let's go get some pussy. So, yo, I may get f*cked, but I'm not no stranger to pussy; so I am wit it. My boy won't get mad, we got an understanding as long as I am doing the right thing."

"We get in the car and niggas are screaming out the window and we just driving to nowhere. I am thinking we are gonna get pulled over by some state troopers and be another group of rap artists going to jail. We pull up to this place and from afar it looks like a Greek Picnic. But up close it is many, many motherf*ckers outside. Some were from the concert I remember checkin me out. When we drive by and park on the side street and walk up (we see) it is this guys club named Loretta's. Yo, My boy told me about it and he told me he did not want my ass in there!"

"So now I am buggin; cause here is the hardest of the hard walkin through the door and this nigga says, Word. Maybe I can get some faggot to suck my joint. They are laughing like it is a game. They turn to me and say, Yo, ya alright with this shit? Before I could answer, the nigga says, Cause I am not no homo, but I will get my shit off.

In less than an hour we had picked up three young brothers from the club and we was back up in the hotel room. It is like a fuckin orgy: niggas got their pants around their ankles and there is so much d*ck sucking going on ------"

And what were you doing during this event? (I was curious because I was being aroused. Funny don't you think ?)

"I was just smoking a joint and chilling. Holding my own. So the next day, we get up and we are hung over and everyone except for me cannot remember anything that happened the night before.

We go into IHOP (International House of Pancakes) and niggas are braggin about the pussy they had last night. We got back to New York. I told my boy what happened."

Of course curiosity is killing me and I am dying to ask. So I do: Would you care to elaborate a few names? He adjusts his seat and looks me straight in the eye. I try to give him a look to remind him that I am conducting and interview and not trying to get a date. (It is moments like this when I question my relationship with this magazine's publisher - maybe he knows something about me that I do not know yet.)

"I do not drop dimes on other people's business, he answers. I do not like them in my business."

Which brings me back to my original question: Why are you coming forward with this? He sits straight up as if he's preparing to address an audience at a news conference. Never showing that he is nervous, he removes his sunglasses, showing his light colored eyes for the first time.

"I was at a party and niggas was talking about that Eazy-E shit and I got to thinking to myself, How come people still are not face the fact that AIDS is real and it ain't no white faggot disease and it ain't some God damnation or whatever dumb shit you put in your head?...

Cause whatever it is, it is here and it are not going nowhere until motherf*ckers, gay and straight, learn to respect it and respect each other. There is a lot of gay hip-hop artists out there and the day that any of them drop dead, it is gonna get covered up with some fake story. But the truth is they was f*cking around, just like I was f*cking around before I wanted to be a rapper. Shit, if I did not have someone in my life, I would be f*cking around with a lot of them myself. And yo, I could name at least three of them who are HIV positive and that bitch Wendy Williams (from New York's Hot 97 radio station) f*ckin jokes about who is HIV positive, when you could check the selections from her closet from all the dick that she is sucked, she could have AIDS right here and now."

So why is it okay to call out Wendy and other artists? He looks me straight in the face with a force I feel rushing through me and a warmth that actually begins to frighten me.....

"Cause I learned the hard way that niggas do not think that I can be hard and true to my craft if I am putting a dick in my mouth. Yo, I am just as real as any motherf*ker out there. I grew up in Brooklyn and been shot up, stabbed and jumped and beat-down - my shit is as real as it can be. I thought that being a man was having a girl and a baby and going to jail, but that didn't make me a man. But people like her think it is a joke and was not listening, nobody's really listening to what the f*ck is going on."

He seems a little heated. And, for some strange reason, so am I. He is hitting all the right points and I am remembering the time I was playing my junior high school buddy, Terrance and we began experiencing things with each other that I did rather not talk about now.....

So back to this mate. Are you still together?

"Yeah me and my boy are living happily ever after and all that shit. We hang out, we play ball, we go to the Village and shop and more. He comes with me to the studio when I am working on my album or when I am producing somebody else's shit. It is the best shit. My mom's thinks he is my assistant and my baby's mother calls him my flunky, but that is my little nigga. He holds me and takes care of me when I'm sick and rubs my back when I've had a rough day and shit.

What kind of man turns you on? I am uneasy asking this question for two reasons: 1) It is such a stereotypical thing to ask you) 2) For my own curiosity, I had to ask.

"You know that Adina Howard song? I need a ruffneck brother to satisfy me." I can not help but smile to myself. He returns the smile......my heart skips a few beats and I try to imagine what his mate looks like. Judging from his figure, I guess he'd be interested in Common on one end of the spectrum and AZ on the other. Is this how Scott Pouison Bryant felt when he interviewed LL Cool J?

Let me ask you a question, he says. I am taken back by this, but what rapper have you known to be laid back and quiet? You want to ask me a question?

Yeah, he says through a crooked smile. This is it. I am going to asked out on a date or more by------------------. All of my male friends are going to be grossed out, all of my female friends will be grossed out ; with envy. And I guess I could stick my chest out a few more inches and have great dinner with industry bullshitters. So what is it you want to ask me? Seems like an intelligent thing to say, especially since little beads of sweat are popping out of my forehead and my palms are getting really moist.

"Do you think of me any different now that you know that I mess around?"

Well I have to be truthful with him and myself. Just because he sex with other men instead of women does not mean that he does not carry a 9 and is not well versed in its use. And knowing my luck, I could wind up hurt like that reporter who made the wrong comment to Dr. Dre. I do not think it's a good idea to mention that a lot of people kinda already know; since it is the talk of the business anyway. So I ask, Mess around or gay? (I am proud of the way I ease from the flirting range.)

"You know what I mean." Now I am more confuse than when I got here. The truth is, I do not know. One of things we discussed earlier was that Black people do not know how to separate a person's professional and personal lives. No, I say: I do not think you are different. In fact I respect you even more than I did a week ago.

He bursts into laughter. Maybe he thinks I was making a funny. His composure seems to soften a bit. Not in a faggot kinda way, but like he is gettin his mack on. He leans over the table, bringing his face close. "You didn't respect me last week?"

Now it feels like a dog and cat chase; or in this case a dog and dog chase: Lets just say I did not necessarily approve of the lyrical content of your music all of the time. I am just keeping it real.

"Keeping it real or keeping a front?"

The last question I have to ask is a simple one. What kind of advice would you give to young brothers and sisters and artists who are struggling with their personal lives and professional decisions?

"All I have to say is this: There are a lotta people out there who will judge you on the merits of what you do in your bed, but f*cking a girl do not make you a man. There are a lot of brothers out there who you see in videos, on tour, and hear on the radio who are cock diesel and being real for the public but behind closed doors? That is some other shit. You all know why I did this interview? Though I have not told half of the shit. I wanted to be able to let dem know that the jig is up and those closet doors are gonna get kicked open."

We both stand and I reach to turn off the tape recorder. He extends his hand - decorated with diamonds laid in gold, with a diamond clad Rolex hanging over his wrist; if there was any more light I would be blinded - and I hate it. I reach for the tape recorder and he asks, "So, what are you into?"

That is another story altogether..

Response To The Gay Rapper Article!

WENDY WILLIAMS TELLIN IT LIKE IT IS!

This whole gay rapper thing is driving me crazy!! It all started about one year ago with an article called, Confessions of a Gay Rapper by J.X. True, it was very scandalous and anonymous but certainly nothing new - or so I thought. I bring scandal to the radio so of course, this article was right up my alley. I read the article on the radio and audience went wild- they ate it up! PEOPLE WANTED TO KNOW WHO THE GAY RAPPER WAS.

My life has not been the same since. I get stopped in the mall, on the street and going to the bathroom while I'm about town has taken on a new meaning. For instance, girls follow me in there to ask, Wendy girl, Who da gay rappa?!? They are all floored when I inform them that there is not one gay rapper, 85% of the game is GAY. Jamal X and I sat cackling on the phone one Saturday night for hours....Jamal says its more like 95%! He also told me that the anonymous star of the original article is sorry he did the article.

These regrets all come after he revealed the touring antics, the lovers posing as best friends and the 'girlfriends' who are in the dark about the whole thing. Let's not forget that he also revealed the drug usage as a way to forget; the fact that only a man can satisfy another man and the fact that the 'secret fraternity' is larger than we all think.

Lesbians and homosexuals are everywhere, so why not in hip hop? Let us focus on the fellows, since most of the ladies are quite obvious about their movements. How else is a nigga gonna make it big in the game. With so much talent and creativity in the ghettos across America its tough for many record company 'Big Wigs,' to decide who to put on! Even when a nigga gets put on (record deal and a few bucks) there is always the next level - mega stardom in the hip hop game (include platinum status, movies, endorsements and TV shows). You see by f*ckin a nigga in his ass and letting him suck your joint, thus turning him out, a record company CEO has ultimate control over his artist by knowing that artist's ultimate secret. It is never just a onetimer....niggas get hooked on that ass. Which now make them bonafied (pardon my bone joke) homosexuals. Even with all the money and the ladies a nigga still craves another nigga's ass!!

The situation I have just explained is what I call 'the corporate turn-out.' Then there is the 'born gay' hip hop niggas. They do not need to be bribed, they were just born to love it.... These two categories make up the large (like I said before, 85%) majority of hip hop niggas, from the artists, managers, deejays, dancers and roadies to the record reps and CEO'S. The scariest part is that on the surface, everybody is playin' the thugly masculine role real well, but honey don't believe the hype cause niggas are trickin for niggas!

B-boy niggas represent to the fullest. You would never know they were gay 'cause they are always talkin bout knockin niggas out, fuckin women, gettin high and making money. It is a role they play to keep their deepest secrets from you, the record buying public. The people who really lose out are the women. For instance, when I tell women some of the b-boy names, they gag! No Wendy, stop lyin.... he is married or No Wendy, he just had a baby or even No Wendy, he fucked my friend T. last weekend. I say to the ladies, sorry girls but these men do not want you, they want a beard (a disguised man so no one suspects their homosexuality). Girls, stop thinking that homosexuality comes packagged in pink slacks, a mean catwalk and feminine characteristics. Also, stop thinking that if your niggas not with you that he is with some other girl. Who you need to watch around YOUR MAN IS ANOTHER MAN! Observe the guys that they spend time with cause there is nothing worse than another man beatin your time.

Ladies stay in tuned with your man and the world around you, cause in the 9-7 niggas (not just rappers) are checkin for other niggas - in a big way! The fraternity is strong and silent, and they do not like me cause they know I will tell it.

Shout out to all the closeted gay rappers - I would say Keep it real, but by your public deceptions, it is clear to me that you don't. So I will just say keep it tight. Your identities are relatively safe with me. Shout out to everyone who hates me, (even calling me a lesbian) for attemping to educate the masses to the gay thing - FUCK YOU.

One last shout out, to all my true fans that listen to me (Mon-Fri,.2p-6P) on HOT 97/WQHT New York and shout out to all the people on my website (www.gowendy. comm). Thanks for your constant support, I love you all !!

Well, if you read what Wendy Williams said, according to her 85% of the rap industry is gay. Do you think this can possibly be true? EIGHTY-FIVE PERCENT!!!

I dont think i would lose respect for the person but alot of people would. if everyone starts sayin shit and making fun of who it is(you know this would happen)there is no way ne one would stick up for him. its just human nature to do so. i mean he would be writing about alot of untrue things. talkin about honeys and shit but on the real hes on his knees slobbin on a knob. it would def be career suicide and dude would get hated on for the rest of his life.

if i had to guess who it was id say that bitch Ja Rule

I know man, and I apologize about that. But I felt the issue deserved some introspection despite just how fucked up the topic is. Frankly, as an old head, I'm learning to be more tolerant of certain shit but this right here? NO WAY.

As far as Jordan goes, let's just say he'd lose a LOT of love man, it's inevitable.

lol funny ass thread, thanks for bringing this to our attention Dre...

It's funny how artists of other genres get labelled as gay all the time, and the rappers have been the poo-jabbers the whole time!! Oh well, fortunately for me I never chose my music based on who the artist was fucking, though I admitt if I knew someone was gay I'd rethink listening to their music due the possibility of being labelled myself. It's summer here, and I drive with the windows down, and stereo up alot of the time. When I pull over at a set of lights, I turn it down somewhat, I don't want to force other people to listen to my shit. Now I'll just turn the stereo off if this becomes well known in Australia... I don't want girls laughing at me and shit :P

weird by this could all be a scam.....I mean critics/interviewers do that to get rep......I doubt 85% of the rap industry is gay because if thats the case New York and Los Angeles will be having Gay Weddings on exhibition.

I dunno, everyone has the right to what they wanna Fuck right?...as long as they dont try stick their dick/dildo up your ass it shouldnt bother u.

I mean most men dont see anything wrong with lesbos....and most Women dont see anything wrong with gays....infact they open up when they find out a guys gay, they feel confident to show their tits off and ass raw cause they know the guy wont get his dick jacked up.

I dunno I still dont trust this article, plus I wouldnt care if an artists gay or not.....its what they sing abt that counts right....I mean what if u find out Tupac was gay u gonna loose all the love for those outta this world lyrics he posted up?.....u'd be the worlds biggest idiot to do such a thing.

I rest my case.

I think it is more of a cultural thing than anything else, (majority) black men love some big ol' asses. Where as with whites and other cultures that prescribe to eurocentric ideals, it's more about boobs. To me there is nothing in this world like a black woman's ass! Lawd help me, mmm-mmm-mmm..... Matter of fact, I couldn't just say black women though they have the crown hands down. Puerto Ricans, dominicans, brazilians and now even white girls are getting some big ol' tails on them.

I don't know about rappers, but Usher is definitely 500% gay. That guy's as camp as a row of tent's, there's no two ways about it

What makes you say that? I've never seen him as being gay, especially with all the fine ass women he's had relationships with. His newest victim? Naomi Cambell! WHOA......

Mate what ISN'T gay about Usher? Sure there's rumours and the occassional publicity photo of him with some woman, but who's to say it isn't some record label cover up? His music on it's own is pretentious and irritating, his award speeches make me feel like throwing up but all that aside he is definitely and absolutely gay. I'm sure about it, if he isn't, he's the most feminine male in existance.

I don't know about rappers, but Usher is definitely 500% gay. That guy's as camp as a row of tent's, there's no two ways about it

What makes you say that? I've never seen him as being gay, especially with all the fine ass women he's had relationships with. His newest victim? Naomi Cambell! WHOA......

Wow, some strong feelings there. His music? Absolutely awesome, but then again do you even care for R&B? How do you feel about Ashanti, Mario, Avant, R. Kelly, Destiny's Child and others?

Sexuality? I dunno, I think that brother is seeing more pussy on a daily basis than you, me and the average gynecologist combined.

The music thing's just personal preference. It's rare that I'll like an RnB song and Usher just hasn't made any that I like.

As far as the pussy statement, I direct your attention to the following:
