As soon as this game was announced, I knew I would be getting it. Does someone have any idea when it will be released in Australia?

Dunno when its released in Australia, but its out in the UK, its tight as well, better than Farcry. The game physics are crazy, all the weapons are nasty and the overall look of the game is very realistic.

The little "meat grinder" bots are so annoying, Grrrrr.

I brought the 'Silver' edition yesterday, and have started of by playing Half Life 1 :D (It looks great with the HL2 graphics engine). I'm on holidays starting of 3:10 tommorow, after my history exam so will have a lot of time on my hands to play HL2.

is it better than doom3 gameplay wise? does it live up to halflife 1's singleplayer mode? i don't give a shit about cs at all, i gave that up a few years ago :P
i think halflife2 looks/sounds pretty promising, but after getting doom3, which for me, didn't live up to its hype... i'm feeling kinda ehhh about buying another game :P

Shit, i didnt find out about the different versions until i had brought the game and was half way through registration. I never finished Halflife(1) and would really like to play it useing the new engine. I think its abit of a con really, why have all the different game versions, obviously to make more money, its sad.

How did you like the 45 min installation process?

Its better than D3 in every aspect, D3 was a good game, but it didnt live up to the hype, it has almost no replay value at all.
The best thing about the gameplay in HL2 is that its HARD, im playing on Medium and im finding it tough going, but i like that. So far its out played everygame this year including Farcry and most definetly the EA mess called "Pacific Assault".

There are quite a few good games out at the moment and i cant wait for the new "POP" game, which looks right up my street.

The game looks good, but my computer is too old to play any newer games.
