With less than two weeks left until the Election, I thought it would be fitting to start a thread about it. Though I imagine the majority of the forum is not American, the actions of the United States often take a key part in today's world events.

So basically, just give your opinion. Say who'd you like to win. If you're eligible to vote, please say who you're going to vote for. If you'd like to keep that confidential, sounds cool...

Me, I'm a big Kerry supporter. Living in Massachusetts has affected that a lot. But most of all, I dislike Bush, especially his administration.

The topic is open to all nationalities.

Well... my opinion on the war on terror is that Bush's attack on Iraq was totally unjustified and he had no right to enter Iraq!

IMO that's a pretty stupid idea. People with high-paying jobs should not have to pay more taxes just because they worked hard (or had a rich dad or something, I'd love to tax those fuckers. Not possible though.) I figure the way to get more tax money is to put extra sales tax on stuff like alcohol and cigaretes. The idea of a junk food tax is brilliant IMO. Tax the fat fucks that plug up the health care system.

The idea of paying more taxes is a reality over here. The more you earn, the more you pay.

Who isnt it fair to? If the government needs to tax ppl - which they do- why do they tax the whole income of ppl who are poor. Sure, there are ppl who cheat the tax system and get all of the governments money by - i cant remember the term- sitting around at home and live off social security payments.

Cant the tax office and socail security try and make ppl work. Maybe if the government can somehow make more employment opportunites and decrease the unemployment and then tax less for poorer earners and go higher as u earn more, it would be fair cause everyone is earning fairly... I think that would be fair.

But that isnt reality because anything perfect in our world doesnt exist.

I know where ur coming from, both sides of the arguement can be put forward but i lean towards taxing the rich more... just be thankful ur not Yao Ming!
