Speaker Problem

Postby iKe7in on Wed Sep 29, 2004 1:17 pm

I'm using Realtek AC97 with brand new "Nexxtech" speakers, and after about a month with them, I can now barely hear vocals in any music on my computer, whether it be mp3 downloads or uploaded CD music. In the last few days, I've also noticed that all the commentary in my games, as well as the menu music have the same problems as I mentioned earlier. I've downloaded the latest driver for each, but there is no troubleshoot method for this from either company.

I have checked the following for the problem:
-equalizers are not on in any program
-subwoofer volume and turning on/off has no effect
-game sliders to not affect this when i try tio fix this
-have several adware/spyware programs, and i don't use kazaa or anything else
-everything is plugged in correctly, both in the subwoofer and in pc tower

I would appreciate any help in this matter, as it is really annoying to have your computer filled with only sound effects and reverbed bass guitar.
