you can't say it's fake because no one has proved 100% that it is.. but then again you can't say it's real because no one has proved that it is.. it really comes down to a matter of opinion

To be exact, htaccess is a simple ASCII text file.

It's just a file you can use to create your own custom 404 Page Not Found pages.

You can disallow IP adresses from viewing that page, at the same time you can allow them etc etc.

I think this person is full of shit though, you uploaded the files just fine.

Basically it's protection from it being hotlinked all over the place. He wants to keep it on that server only.

Don't you dare ask how I know.
