ESPN NBA Basketball has new screens up.

Even though I'm getting both, I'm feeling Live's graphics a little bit more. Just some about the ESPN graphics don't appeal to me. But you can be the judge of that for yourself. http://www.espnvideogames.com/nba2k5/20045_sim.php

i like the way the jerseys look in this game. i also like the muscle texture(looks incredibly real) but Live 05 has better player model and cyberfaces oh! and also shoes. WAT ARE THOSE SHOES ANYWAY?!!

ONE MORE THING: Sega people have 2 put JOWE of nbalive.org in the credit because he owns that jersey texture  [/b]

I don't know how you can pay for this game let alone sit and play it. ESPN sucks, EA rocks (Y)

Shaq jumps OVER Tayshaun Prince, who btw has a fade straight out of Andrew's 95/96.

Forget it guys. We all know that ESPN 2K4's graphics killed Live's so why start critiquing these. They're still a bit early in development as you could see by some of the jersey. Even this years screens for Live 2005 aren't better than ESPN 2K4's so unless ESPN actually takes a step back, it will still have the advantage.

Also, if you don't think that ESPN's graphics were better than Live's last year, you don't deserve to post here because then I'll know you're just a Live fanboy.

To me Live 2005 graphics look A LOT better than ESPN's this year. As for ESPN having better graphics, sure. They may of had bnetter graphics but this year it does not look like it. Shaq does not even have a neck in that one picture. Also, Shaq has a 40 inch vertical jumping over people now? That's why I am not interested in ESPN 2K5 at all.

When you reach the point about what game is better, it's all opinion. It's just what the person rather play not what is actually better :D (Live is actually better than ESPN  )

Now you're telling me that I don't deserve to post on an Nba Live forum because I'm a fan of the series...the reason why this site even exists.

I think you're right on that.

We all love the Live series, that's why we come here all the time.

The screenshots from Live 2005 are a lot better than Live 2004 and ESPN 2K4. The screenshots from Live 2000 are better than the screenshots from ESPN 2K5 posted in this thread.

I meant in this thread. There are some people who constantly think that Live is better just because of the fact that it is Live. If all you're going to do is bash ESPN when ever a thread about it is made, just don't bother posting. Some people here do play ESPN, and some people, along with just about every review site, believe that it's a beter game.

Also, the Live screens are nothing special. They don't look smooth at all. It looks like someone pressed the sharpen button on Photoshop one too many times. Also, there's absolutely no lighting in the arenas. Something's gotta be done about that, and I bet it will, seeing that we're still in the early/medium stages of graphical development.

Damn glove guy, why are you even here if you support ESPN so much? Live's gameplay is actually fun. As for ESPN you see a couple of nice streetball moves here and there. I'm sure there is a good ESPN forum you can visit and talk about how much better it is than Live. Hell, this is the NLSC, NBA Live Series Center. Don't get upset just because most of us favor Live over espn.

Amen. I come here to express my opinion on the NBA Live forum...you can do so too but don't hate when someone likes Live over ESPN. This is a disscussion forum, we aren't suppose to agree on everything. That's how disscussions are formed.

Maybe ESPN shouldn't post screens if they're so early in development... Fugly...

Because I once was a Live player. I was at this website downloading patches for my Live 2000 game four years ago, also contributing to the message boards. Now, I don't even venture into the NBA Live section, only posting in the bottom section of the forum. I also do post at the ESPN Video Games forum, but it's not nearly run as well as this one.

I don't come to this forum for NBA Live anymore, but so I can talk basketball with people who know basketball. That's why I've been here so long.

I'm just defending ESPN here. Is there anything wrong with that? This is, after all, the Other Games section. You guys seem to be putting on a clinic of crititism on these ESPN screens, which I admit aren't that great, but neither are Live's. I'm just defending the game that I prefer.

They have a responsibility to keep their supporters updated. Most people would understand that it's still in development and not jump the gun with criticism.

I just don't understand how someone can say this game is better than Live. I bought ESPN 2k4 last year and was extremely dissapointed. I hated it, I returned it right away.

I could say the same for people who play Live. I just don't understand it.

I agree though that ESPN 2004 was a flop. They took a big step backwards in gameplay, even if the graphics were the best for any basketball game. I prefer playing my NBA 2K2 for the Dreamcast.

really?I liked 04 way better than 03, I thought 03 was too arcady. Then again, when you're just messing around waiting for the new live to come out its fun to go play Live and screw around.

Ah, year one of the freestyle. What a year it was. lol.
