How do you take a poll out of a thread that you created?

Can anyone explain this to me?
I posted a poll that was supposed to go for 4 days. It's been two weeks and it's still there. Can anyone tell me how I take it out? Thanx.

Edit your post and pick "delete poll" at the bottom.
It may be set so only mods or admins can do this however.
