What went on over here?

Well, as many must've noticed alot of weird stuff has gone down in a day or two. Some folks were online during the "take over". That wasn't my intention.

Let's start off where I felt stuff went wrong:

For the longest while, alot of people have expressed that they are unhappy with the moderation.
The correct move would be to take this up with the Administrator, right? That's the correct move...I resorted to the logical move. I'm sure any of you would do and think the same way.

Andrew selected EG as a moderator. What effect would it have that I complain to Andrew? Hello, it's his moderator, he'll side with him, right?
The picture EG paints of Andrew isn't the prettiest either. I've had conversations with EG where he has insinuated that he will have a member removed just by suggesting it to Andrew. With this kind of talk, I as a member get this image--> Whatever EG says, Andrew does. He is the moderator that was selected by Andrew himself after all.

Me & Homer have been bitching constantly. I won't say we haven't and we're best buddies. We're not. I dislike him & he dislikes him. So what? Not everyone can get along with everyone, that's just the way it is. Sure, bitching about it in every thread isn't the way, but most of you that know me...know I'm not the most rational person. Online atleast. Especially not when it's someone bitching about my english, when his english is below normal level. *shrug* He bitches about my english by asking me "How kind of english is this?"...pfff How kind of english is that man? It was a cheap attempt at getting me into a flamewar. It succeeded. I let it happen though, I was fed up of EG making his stupid promises.."just show me the next time and he'll be banned"...yeah...I heard that around 3 times. I was pretty much fed up of hearing the same thing. Thus, I responded to Homer. He wanted to bitch, I gave him something to bitch about.

Bam, Super Mod steps in and "both" of us are going to be punished. Why? I responded back to a flame that was meant to get me to flame him. Ok, I should be punished, I'm all for it. But he gets two weeks for initiating it and I get the same amount for doing what was expected of me?

I would think a posters history is taken into account a bit, no...I don't mean favoritism because I'm surely not one of the "favorites". I'm sarcastic and rude. I know I am. But when a little punk like that comes along and keeps nagging like that, what do you expect me to do? I'm no Gandhi, I won't turn the other cheek. In this case he kept annoying me, if he kept annoying...EG orso, I'm sure his ass would've been gone way before something actually happened.

This pissed me off--> My mind was like, what the fuck is wrong with the forum? Banning me over small shit like that? Even if it's temporary...I felt I didn't deserve just as much as him since he IS the one that initiated it.
I felt wronged by the decision to ban me.

Again we come to correct and logical.

Correct thing to do would be appeal the banning. Given the history, everytime someone made a comment or was against a decision, he was banned forever. It never really went the members way.

I had this in my mind, and was like...eh...it's Andrew's moderator, he's the one that must've suggested my banning to Andrew, Andrew must have felt this is correct. If he thinks it's correct what makes me think that he would actually listen to me? I made a mistake, I assumed these things and didn't even try.

So I said fine, the forum is willing to punish me for trivial bullshit like that, fine. Forget everything, I'm done with a forum that cannot moderate properly.
I felt EG was wrong and I felt Andrew was wrong for letting EG get this far.

My next step was an obvious one, I said screw the forum, they want reason to ban me, fine...I'll give them reason to ban me. I will say everything I feel, I will let them know what I think is wrong. If I do it in a civil manner, it's taken the wrong way by Mr. Mod, since he'll feel it's undermining his authority. I assumed that if Mr. Mod is unhappy, Andrew will be unhappy so it would make no sense what so ever to actually do it in a civil manner.

It wasn't the first time I had thought about leaving the NLSC in the last couple of months. This time however, I had had enough. This is the first time I was banned. I was shocked it was over crap like that. I was shocked that Andrew actually went along with it.

I made a huuuuuuge post in which I wrote almost everything I felt was wrong. At the time, I was very much against Andrew thanks to Mr. Mod's portrait of Andrew. Mr. Mod made Andrew look like someone that does anything Mr. Mod wants him to do. And most of the time, it did look like that. EG didnt like somoene, that someone was gone. It happened.

In my "last" post, I lambasted the forum. EG & Andrew in paticular, because I felt wronged by the two about such a stupid decision.
I said many many many things.

Publically, I would like to take back everything I said about Andrew. I made those comments under the impression that you were just a weak person that did whatever Mr. Mod wanted, I felt I couldn't respect someone that just did what Mr. Mod asked him to do.

After talking to you and explaining everything to you, I'm glad you saw where I was coming from and I'm glad you stuck around and talked it out. Even if it was till 8.30 a.m. by me.

EG however, just resorted to a blockage. Yeah, work out problems that way. If a Mr. Mod can't handle problems privatley, what makes everyone think I can with Homer?

Again, I apologise to Andrew for my actions that I made against him. However, I am not sorry for all that I had to say about EG. That's the way I feel. Just as Matthew has nothing against Andrew, just EG, that's pretty much how it is with me now. Before it wasn't because I was under the impression that he just aproved of everything EG pulled off.

Genocide & K08e4mvp were part of this so called "coup" (which again, wasn't really my intention, my intention was for everyone to sit up and take notice of the poor job being done moderation wise)

k08e4mvp cannot post as yet because he is still banned, I am not banned because Andrew feels I should talk on behalf of the others...his decision, not mine..don't look at me all weird.

k08e4mvp is pretty much pissed about one thing. The bet.
He feels that he (and others participating) were wronged by Andrew. He would like to know why Andrew put a halt to the bet only after Laker fans had won and Limdilznik and co had lost. He felt as if Andrew was siding with Limpdilznik in a way. He feels Andrew could've put a stop to the bet when Laker fans were down 2-0. I've felt this way too, I didn't really like that the bet was halted only at the end. I agree, he did it because it is still losing members and all, but why only when they were lost. Why didnt he step up for us when we were losing.

This caused alot of friction by k08e4mvp.

Genocide just went along because...I don't know.
Most of us had a problem with some decisions that were made. Oh, I remember, Geno was pissed about the n00b jail being locked so soon, again...it leads down to Mr. Mod.

All this could've just been kept from you guys as these are "forum issues" but you guys are part of the forums, thus a part of the issues.

I think when things are in the open, members can reflect on what's been happening and members can see what to do and what not to do in the future.

Hmm, i agree with you on some points, the mods do need to act more mature, but not abuse their power, at least i think so.

If someone even mentions the name "kobe" in another thread that thread immediately "goes off topic" and the poster who mentioned him gets bashed for "not keeping things about kobe in the kobe thread"...

For what it's wroth, I disagree here. It's brave to admit you're wrong on the internet. A lot of people think because they can hide behind cyberspace, they don't have to admit they're wrong. Not as if this matters though .

Even though I feel that it was the wrong way to go about things, what's done is done and it's obvious that it's an important issue, so I'm all for discussing things and making things better here.
