I want to know about the countries you guys would like to visit and secondly I would like to know about the places you guys where you guys have lived. Even if it's just one place, tell us the pro's and con's of it.
Well, we started off in India due to my grandparents..I wasn't born yet, so cant comment, yet.
Then we moved to the US, my grandparents went to New York and our parents went to Miami. I was born there, lived there for about three years, I'm too old to remember stuff of when I was that young.
From there we moved to Suriname, lived there for about 5 years. Wonderfull place, grandparents were there longer and still live there, they have a few restaurants there and my mom is considering opening one restaurant that would fall under the same name here in Holland around next year. Sort of a franchise thingie, small time though.
When I was about 8, we moved to Curaçao, that's what I remember most ofcourse since it was my teens and all. Lived there for nine years, then we moved here, to the Netherlands. After my studies I plan on returning.
Alright enough talk, I'll tell you all what I thought about countries I've visited and want to visit some day.
US: Love having vacations over there, especially Miami. Alot of sun, lot of bums, too good.
Suriname: Lot's of green, the jungles are amazing and the people are friendly. Con: The people ugly as hell.
Curaçao: Home, can't say much bad about it. Just make sure you dont get into trouble with the people, they won't hesitate shooting you.
India: The food is delicious if you're into spicey stuff, oh I love the food. It's great when you're there for vacation since you've gone with quite a bit of money, alot of stuff can be bought for really cheap. Nice place to visit, specially places like Agra, Calcutta, Bombay, niceness.
Just don't plan on living there anytime soon.
Netherlands: For vacation in the summer, I though this place was the shiznit, living here fulltime has opened my eyes. It's an ideal place to live, the government pays you to do nothing. People live off of money from the governments and do nothing.
Cuba + Panamá: This was a trip we got to take at the expense of the school in Curaçao, it was nice. Lots of poverty and stuff, but the people are really happy with what they have. Cuba has the best collection of old cars I've seen to date. And in what condition, amazing.
Next year the school I'm attending is planning to take us to Spain and/or France, that should be interesting.
I would love to visit Brazil (
), China, Cyprus, Greece, Russia, Finland, Argentina, Australia. Oh, New Zeeland too. I'm not sure if I would want to visit, Hawaaï.
(If this thread sucks, forget it.

This thread doesn't suck... too much
I was born in what was once Yugoslavia. Was never a good place if you wanted material wealth without doing something corrupt. Social life is good from what I hear (if you can separate socialising and lack of income). So my parents wanted out pretty much from the time they got married. We moved to Aussieland when I was 8, almost 9 and have been here since.
I've visited Hungary and Greece a couple of times before we moved here - 2 hours and 10 hours being the drive hours roughly from Yugoslavia to Hungary or Greece respectively. I've only gone to Hungary for a few hours, for lunch, shopping etc. Great Goulash, but anybody who puts sugar on my tomato salad needs to be slapped. I've been to Greece a couple of times for 10 days or so (Late 80's early 90's). Weather was great, tourists everywhere, always something to do, kickass Souvlaki and beaches

Born in Poland
Moved to Australia (Adelaide)
Moved back to Poland
Moved back to Australia (Perth)
and in between i've been on holidays to USA (LA, San Diego, Las Vegas & Grand Canyon), Mexico (Tijuana), Austria (Vienna 2 times), Australia (Sydney 2 times)
If i were to live anywhere else in the world it would be Detroit, but other than that i'd go for Vancouver, Seattle or Portland.....i love the scenery, it reminds me of Europe but with NBA

I was born in Australia, been here all my life. I love it.
I've never been out of the country. I'd like to go to America to visit a friend (he was an exchange student that came and stayed with us in '99, we got along REALLY well)
There was a point in my life where i'd never been out of my state!
That was untill 2000 me and mum drove to Queensland (yes, we fucking drove to queensland. Don't try that at home kids)
Mon Jun 14, 2004 6:12 pm
I haven't been out of Australia, but I'd certainly like to travel. I'm hoping that I'll be able to visit the US one day and possibly even see an NBA game live. I would have loved to have seen Michael Jordan play live, but I think just seeing an NBA game in person would be an incredible experience.

Lets see,
Born in Poland, in a shitty small town next to Warsaw with alot of Bums and violance, moved to the city of Warsaw when I was about 5 years old and I lived there for a year.
However, Poland wasnt the best place to live during my younger days, and my grandmom met some guy in the Netherlands so she moved over there with him for a short while and then moved out and stayed in the Netherlands, and we decided to do the same thing and move with her to the Netherlands which was a better country financial. Now Im 16 and I lived here for almost 10 years and I cant say I had a bad time, I still go to Poland a couple of times per year to vsit my family.
Ive been in:
Poland
the Netherlands
Germany
Denmark twice (school project and this winter a basketball tournament which in we became 3th)
France
Spain
Belgium
Thats all I can think of right now, Im not sure if I visited more countries, but I edit my post if I remember something

Sorry I just couldnt let that one go.
I've been to a few countries, but I dunno how much it counts... I spent 2 years in England, 4 days in France, about 9 hours in Germany, 6 hours in LA and 5 hours in Hong Kong... I also went to a bunch of place surrounding England (Wales etc) but I dont count them, due to mass intoxication
Edit: Actually that quote got me thinking... I wonder if our friend k08e4mvp might have done a bit of dodgy editing to his comment... you see, I have come up with these possible original scenario's
Denmark twice (school project and this winter a basketball tournament which in we became
champions
could have been edited to...
Denmark twice (school project and this winter a basketball tournament which in we
came 4th
and what was posted...
Denmark twice (school project and this winter a basketball tournament which in we became 3th)
You can see why I'm suspiscious, but I'm also very bored, and in the mood to be a jerk. Take no offense
Mon Jun 14, 2004 8:46 pm
Well, If I would have edit my post, you would see a small line like "last edited by K08e4mvp on ........" below my post
Im no taking it offensive because I have no idea what you are talking about and dont understand you at all
Mon Jun 14, 2004 9:00 pm
Jesus... let me try this again... when I said edited, I didnt mean you necessarily clicked Edit and did it that way, what I meant was you might have tried deleting what you previously wrote but left a few things. Like "we became 3th"... could have previously been "we became champions" or "we (be)came 4th".
I have no idea what you are talking about and dont understand you at all
For someone of your language skills to say that I take it as a compliment.
Mon Jun 14, 2004 9:08 pm
Oh, ok I understand you now.
great
Mon Jun 14, 2004 9:34 pm
Ah people never fight back these days
Mon Jun 14, 2004 9:47 pm
We dont want to *upset* the big evil Andrew now do we. If the Pistons won the championship and I dont want to return to the NLSC anymore, then Iwill fight you back, but not now lol
Mon Jun 14, 2004 11:48 pm
Lol I'm a Laker fan too, so the chances are if the Pistons win I'll be looking to fight.. though I'll most likely pick a Piston "fan" to argue with
Tue Jun 15, 2004 6:33 am

I've lived in the suburbs of Boston, MA for every year of my life.
My father's Irish, has family there in Ireland, so I've been there about four or five times.
I've been to France many times, Costa Rica once, England once, Italy once, Canada three times, and I'm going to Australia on the 22nd of this month.
I don't think I could really list the number of states I've been to.

Hmmm. I live in the US and there are a fair amount of Mexicans here(alot of illegal ones and some legal ones.) Some are hot, but then some are just fat and ugly. If you've ever eaten spanish or mexican food, you could understand why so many are overweight. There is like cheese in everything they eat!

(I hope I don't offend anyone.)
Tue Jun 15, 2004 12:37 pm
you forgot stupid
kidding! i love mexicanos.
