The gist of it:

An 81-year-old World War II veteran and his wife of 58 years were today each handed a 16-month suspended jail sentence after being convicted of drug offences.

Perth pensioner David William Sidney Davies and his wife, Florence Gladys Davies, 77, were on Friday found guilty by a Perth District Court jury of two counts of possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

The article doesn't mention that it was their son who was actually dealing, storing the cannibas and cash at their house.

There are conflicting reports as to whether the elderly couple actually knew what their son was storing at their place, and that the $7000 was payment for letting him use their house for storage. If they truly didn't know what was going on and have been used by their son (whom they are sticking by, by the way), the law seems a little too black and white to me.
