Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.
I'm going to give a speech at my university regarding the influence of file sharing on the music industry. I was wondering if you guys can help me out with this survey. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I download and buy. I hear a song on the radio, see it on tv, or read about it the source or something and download to see how I like it. I download a couple other songs to see if this song was a fluke. If I seem to like all of it, I buy it. This is the way I've bought all albums for 4-5 years.
I only download music if there's a specific song i want to hear... otherwise i buy most my music... i've never downloaded a whole album...
although that could be all due to the face that i'm on a 56k modem and it would take years. i'm sure if i had cable i would probably download albums, and only buy albums that were my favourite bands... or it had a a free dvd or something... hehe
i download albums and only buy them on 1/10 occasions
im simply do not have the money to buy every single/album that i like

Since I got a loosy 56k modem, I really don't download that much. However, I sometimes get new rapssongs on mp3 from a friend of mine. But whenever i hear like 1-3good songs with one artits on mp3, I get the album.
For example I bought Kanye West album after receving "through the wire" and "slow jamz". Good thing that there were even better songs on that album
