Former Star Wars actress suffers massive heart attack mid-flight

HOLLYWOOD star Carrie Fisher was fighting for her life Friday after suffering a massive heart attack on a jetliner, emergency workers and a witness said.

The 60-year-old “Star Wars” actress was flying from London to Los Angeles when she suffered cardiac arrest, and was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation by an emergency responder on board.

Fisher collapsed 15 minutes before the plane landed at LAX, according to celebrity news website TMZ, and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Damn it, 2016. We've lost too many cool people this year. Let's just get through Christmas and early 2017 without any more of that, yeah?

Get well soon, Carrie.

Sad news, hope she makes a full recovery.

Iam an 80's child and Star Wars is my religion so may the force be with you Carrie!

Fortunately, it seems her condition is now stable. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery...may the force be with her indeed!

Well, her condition had reportedly stabilised, but...she's gone.

That's Carrie Fisher, George Michael, Craig Sager, and Alan Thicke in December alone. That's on top of Alan Rickman, David Bowie, Muhammad Ali, Prince, Gene Wilder, Nate Thurmond, Garry Marshall, Pat Summitt, Alan Young, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Abe Vigoda, Chyna, Frank Sinatra Jr., Florence Henderson, and Brian Bedford, to name but a few.

Damn it, 2016. Just...damn it.

And a day later her mother, Debbie Reynolds, also passes away. I've complained enough about 2016, so instead, I'll just enjoy her singing voice.
