It's an interesting re-match of the 2009 final.

United basically have the same team from that game, except without Ronaldo and Tevez. Barcelona on the other hand have gained Villa, Dani Alves and Mascherano.
The only thing I can see in United's favour is that it's being played at Wembley. A place they've won finals before.

Though I think that Barcelona will win.

Barcelona also won a final in Wembley, the first in their history (1992).

I guess they wanted a parade to cheer themselves up after losing the final. I know that picture is probably taken out of context, but it's still funny.

So Liverpool have supposedly agreed a fee with Sunderland for Jordan Henderson. Apparently it's £13m + David Ngog.
Can't say I've seen much of him, but I have faith that Kenny knows what he's doing. (Y)

Barcelona apparently signing Alexis Sanchez from Udinese; former River Plate player here in Argentina. Don't know where they are gonna put him in the field. It's like they don't want other teams to have stars. :|

It's like Sahin going to Real Madrid. They've already got Kaka, Ozil, Di Maria, Granero, Diarra, Alonso, Khedira and Canales. Greedy bastards.

Would be great news, but nothing's signed so far. He would be part of the attacking 3, you could switch any of the forwards.

First deal of the summer done. :)

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-n ... erson-deal
LFC complete Henderson deal

Liverpool Football Club have completed the signing of Jordan Henderson after the 20-year-old passed a medical and agreed personal terms.

Henderson travelled to Merseyside on Wednesday after a fee was agreed with Sunderland. He then underwent a medical examination in Liverpool before signing a long-term deal.

The midfielder has now joined the England U21 squad in Denmark as they prepare for the European Championships.

Henderson's first game after completing his transfer is likely to be against Spain U21s on Sunday.

Yeah, it's stupid the money that players are valued at just because they are English. :?
From some videos I've seen of Henderson he is a great passer of the ball. Hopefully Kenny can help him grow as he's only 20 years old.

Basically they're just buying potential. Same with Phil Jones signing with Man Utd for £16.5m. (or £20m or £25m. Read different reports)
Apparently we bid £20m for him as well.

Benzema would be a great signing. Rumours on twitter that Madrid have signed Neymar. Talent hoarders, but at least he's not going to Chelsea. (Y)

Meanwhile Liverpool are apparently within days of signing Charlie Adam from Blackpool. Not sure why we need him.
We need wingers and a left back and probably a center back. Another striker too. We've got loads of center midfielders already. :facepalm2:

Hearing that Liverpool have a plan of signing Gael Clichy and Stewart Downing, any ideas of that Phil?

Also, with Sahin and Neymar(rumored) in Madrid, they have so much talent, even Canales is a top player who is sitting on the bench

We've been linked to like 50 players already.

Personally I'd much rather have Juan Mata than Downing. We are supposedly very interested, but he is playing at the U21 Euro Championships at the moment so any move would probably need to wait until after that. Valencia would likely take something like £20m because they need the money.

I can't say I'm Downing's biggest fan, but he would offer something we need. Lots of crosses onto Andy Carroll's head. :cheeky:

From what I've been reading the 3 left backs we're interested in are Glichy from Arsenal, Jose Enrique from Newcastle and Aly Cissokho from Lyon.
Glichy and Enrique both only have a year left on their contracts so would be cheaper. But I'd much rather have Cissokho.
My first choice was Fabio Coentrao from Benfica, but Real Madrid are seemingly going to get him too.

If the Neymar deal is confirmed, I wonder what it means for Aguero. I saw that we were second favourite to sign him behind Real on a betting site.

Kun was linked to Juventus if Real Madrid move falls.

Relax Thierry, I am a Arsenal fan also :P Cissokho is highly skilled and with such a young age.

Anybody wants to explain me what is Kun going to do in Real?

I think maybe Cissokho likes Liverpool. I remember after Porto played Man Utd in the Champions League he did a 4-1 signal with his hands.
It was just after we beat them 4-1 at Old Trafford.

How can Juventus afford Aguero? They can't afford Aquilani, they had to sign Pirlo on a free transfer and half their team were loaned in last season.
If they want Aquilani, Motta, Quagliarella, Pepe, and Matri to stay they have to pay the fees they agreed when they loaned them.
Plus the €105m they just spent building a new stadium. As far as I know they aren't owned by an oil-rich Arab family. :?:
Also they aren't even in the Europa league next season.

Probably sit on the bench next to Kaka, Benzema, Canales, Sahin, Gago, Diarra, Marcelo, Garay, Granero, Albiol, Arbeloa, Pedro Leon, Drenthe, Khedira, Altintop and Callejon.

It's not Juve can't afford Aquilani, the new coach doesn't want him. Stupid

And Pedro Leon and Drenthe are already on their way out, still that's a huge bench...

They were haggling the price. They did want him, but they were just too cheap to pay the fee they agreed when they loaned him.
Honestly though I'd rather have him back and not sign Charlie Adam. Too many midfielders.

I did read that Gervinho could be close to joining Arsenal from Lille. Any thoughts about him?

Gervinho had a nice season in Lille, a player that can pass the ball and get goals. Van Persie is struggling with injuries so any help we can get on the attacking line would be awesome.
My only wish is that Fabregas wont leave. Thats all

I seem to remember a certain Spaniard saying the same thing a few weeks before he went to Chelsea.

Rumours on twitter that we've put a bid in for Mata. Of course I can't believe anything until it's announced by the club themselves.
