Portugal's best chance was clearly the freekick Ronaldo took which Barthez screwed up on. Figo just couldnt knock the header low enough. Portugal will play Germany for third and fourth. Henry didn't dive. He was obviously fouled by Carvalho and he felt down. You can't comapre that with milions of divings that Portugal players have been doing whole damn night. France win is clean as a whistle.

If you actually look closer at the replay, you can see that Henry actually does dive. Don't get me wrong Caravalho obviously got him on the leg, but Henry overdid way too much, and you are right, as it was getting closer to the end the Portugese starting diving like there was no tomorrow, they were just trying to get a penalty.

Personally, right now, I would like to see France take out the World Cup. Zidane, once again, played a very good match

He got hit, that was a foul and a penalty. And he took the dive because of that.

As I see things, Carvalho was clearly going to make a foul, and he did, but if Henry didn't "dive" as you say, referee wouldn't call a penalty. To resume, it was a foul, Henry didn't fake it, penalty without doubt.

Err maybe Henry dives on the left foot, but Carvalho clearly hits Henry in the ankle with his right foot (you can see it with the opposite camera). So maybe he felt on purpose, but there was clearly a penalty, it has nothing to look like with all that Portuguese dives. Did they ever think they were at the swimming pool?
