@ Jae comparing sig-making to creating Earth
But I wasn't trying to be mean when I said that, I meant wk wanted something less simple, and that was a very simple background. By spending more time on it, teh sig would have been less simple.
Oh BTW here's a Ben Gordon sig cuz I felt like it:

Oh ok I thought you were being a bit arrogant with that but my mistake

 @ Jae comparing sig-making to creating Earth
It's a thin line

Not turning this into a religious debate thread, but remember that God created Earth before we created the day.

How can we be so sure that 24 hours was equal to God's day. Hell, a day then could be 5 weeks now.
Anyway, I made this beautiful sig right below:
Ain't that nice? I see alot of members with sigs just like it.

That's besides the point

My internet connection probably wishes more people had sigs like that.

Made a new sig with some grunge brushing, might use it as my sig if it seems ok to others, 1st one plain 2nd has texture filter because I thought it might look cool.
Opinions?

You did a good job brushing, but I wouldn't recommend blending Pacers color brushes. It makes it look belchy-greenish. Try blue and white brushes and yellow text and border. Also, if you're gonna resize something, I would keep it's original dimensions and only show part of teh pic, not squash it like teh pic on teh right.

Question do you see my blue colored font or you see the black font with the [color=#006699 thing at?

Better? Used a different pic on left because the other one made no sense full size.

It does look a lot better. You might want to try blue and black, but you could also keep it like that.

FendeR` wrote:Pretty much Colin, it was a couple cloud filters, a plastic warp and a wave. It did take a short time to do, but I thought it looked pretty cool. I'm just starting to see how brushing works, but soon I'll be able to make better, I guess quality sigs.
Using those kind of effects are cool, but throw some brushing and cloud/difference cloud overlays on top and they look better.
And don't worry, you're not cheating me out. But if you start using the texturizer your ass is mine.
And about the recent sig, feather the jermaine pic, those sharp lines where the pic ends don't look so good.
I like the bg. Make the text and border more of a golden-yellow too. Too "belchy-greenish" as Mike said.

I feathered the middle pic, it does look better. I tried a blue and black background, but the black dominated (I could have added more blue layers to even it, but I like the white).

Who's world is this? Teh world is yours.
It's mine it's mine it's mine!
I love that song. Anyway help me with this sig:

EDIT: I don't think that's what Colin meant by feather. do this:
ctrl click on layer with the middle pic in it. It should make a selection around teh head. Then click Select, Feather, 15-25 pixels or whatever looks good, then ctrl+shift+I to inverse teh selection and then delete. Teh edges of teh head should be slightly faded.
Mon Apr 25, 2005 12:03 pm
Wait a second, why was I retarded enough not to just erase the shoulder parts off the head on the middle pic? Whatever, fixed and thanks GOAT. Your sig: I don't think the picture fits well with the rest of sig, the pose is just weird to me. I think the text might look better in a lighter shade of blue as well, for a little contrast.
Mon Apr 25, 2005 12:52 pm
I meant what Mike said, but I use layer masks instead of deleting. That way you can change your mind.
Mon Apr 25, 2005 12:56 pm
Colin do you have any suggestions for teh Nas sig?
Mon Apr 25, 2005 2:14 pm
Throwing a globe in there somewhere, Maybe get a screen of the 'World Is Yours' globe statue from Tony Montana's house in Scarface. I'd go for an earlier pic of Nas, as opposed to Stillmatic era Nas.
Tue Apr 26, 2005 1:16 am
Here's Version 2. Added teh world map on a grid in teh bg and new pic, I think you've used it before in one of your sigs, Colin. Also one with a lighter blue in teh text.

Ever notice Damon Jones looks like Nas with sunglasses on, minus teh mole?
