I usually control my PG on defense so if i need help on the boards, i take them off their man and get in the paint to get a rebound.

Can you post the roster update link,
or what ratings should be changed prior to play this game ?

Meaning : Should I decrease Kobe at FG ?
Increase Curry at dunk ?
Increase the jump shot of Luol Deng... ?

Please tell me what main changes do I have to make.
(The main ones)

Thanks.

there is a little issue with the spring update for the 360. They dont allow save files from other 360s to work on your 360 anymore.....which sucks.
Opinions are my own.

OK thanks for the suggestions before guys, but i lost my net for a few days so i just started with Cassell running the point, but he retired after winning the championship in year 2.. Who'd be a good, cheap and if possible, young replacement for him? I could have a go at signing Chauncey.. i should be able to get him for about 6 mil, or through a trade.. I also traded Duncan, so he'd be running with Emeka Okafor and my rookie (a pass first Tmac style player), if that helps in coming up with ideas..

Ok thank you very much.

I think I'll do this manually.
Can you just help me for this :

Just got NBA 2k7 for PS3 on Thursday, and WOW amazing looking, screen shots don't give this game justice. The way players move, the animations and the jersey effects and court shines are indescribable. But frick why are the menus so awkward to navigate, and shooting FT's with the sixaxis is going to take a hellova long time to get good at.

took me about a week to get the free throws. it's pretty gay that the stroke determines how easy a free throw is and it's possible to shoot consistantly 90%+ with Ben Wallace. A "perfect release" free throw never misses while a "perfect release" jumper goes down 50% of the time(N)

and it won't take long for you to realize people are HELLA cheap online. I would not reccomend playing anyone with less than 83-80% "2k rating". my ID is "qb1120" so look me up. I'm usually on every day.

I created a few of next years rookies in 2k7 like Mike Conley, Kevin Durant etc and none of these guys can make shots in practice. Even if the shot is perfect release they will not make it. Is this a bug or what? They have relistic 3 point ratings.

FUCK!!! I HOPE THAT EA MAKES A LIVE 08 GAME THAT ISN'T FRUSTRATING SO I DON'T HAVE TO PUT UP WITH 2K7'S BULLSHIT ANYMORE. I HATE THIS GAME, BUT IT'S SO ADDICTING, AND SO FRUSTRATING AT THE SAME TIME.

that is all.

and no, it's not a bug. its just how they programmed the game. in practice, they miss perfect releases but yet Ben Wallace can still make bad free throw releases. great game.

It still shits all over Live.

Does anybody else play with real FT % on? I think it makes it more realistic, with certain players missing more in clutch situations, others hitting more etc.

Also, just recently got Xbox Live Gold, are any of the downloadable rosters got all last years rookies in them? Just cause I've updated the roster a lot manually, but am still missing some players here and there.

NBA 2K7 has done what Live has never been able to do. Never. And I've played Live since 2000.

I finished a season by playing every game. 82 games + normal playoff format.

Who thought the Knicks could ever be successful again eh? I love the team I've assembled...and I think I've got a few moves I'm willing to make that will provide me with some extra cash and more income.

I totally love the roster I have.

C - Created Center - Shaq Style.
PF - Channing Frye
SF - Jared Jeffries
SG - Darrell Holmes (Draft)
PF - Nate Robinson

Backups:

C - Kendrick Perkins
PF - Maciej Lampe
SF - Stephen Jackson
SG - Kareem Rush
PG - Travis Diener

The Center commands double teams, Jeffries, Holmes and Robinson are excellent shooters. Frye can also hit the outside jumper with consistancy. The bench points usually come from Rush & Jackson, this group are also good shooters, Perkins just doesn't demand the double, so they use a lot of screens and pick & pop's.

Malik Rose and Kurt Thomas' huge contracts come off the books this offseason, should be interesting. I don't need to resign a lot of people, just Perkins, Lampe and Denier so far I know. Thomas and Rose won't be returning by the way.

Uhm, I went like 63 wins and 19 losses. (I think?) My chemistry is at around 60% and I'm 2 games away from sweeping the Suns in the NBA Finals. I wished I'd played the Spurs, we just run & gun better than the Suns do.

I'm trying to figure out if I should add Nowitzki or Carter to the line up this offseason. I'm leaning towards not doing it...because right now I've got quite a balanced attack, Holmes is really good at shooting and I've got a mini Shaq/Kobe thing going.

I am looking for that Horry-esque player, but I think Nowitzki's too big name for that role.

Wish me luck with the last two games, hopefully neither Holmes or my Center go down with injuries.

No, those trades didn't end up working out.

I figured I'd stick it out with Dunleavy in the starting line up for awhile and leave Jeffries on the bench. I felt I was paying Dunleavy way too much though. I was browsing the up for trade list and behold, Stephen Jackson was on the block. Just for the heck of it, I tried it and indeed, I got Jackson for Dunleavy.

Jackson is good enough to start (better rated), but I like Jeffries height. So he's starting and Jackson & Rush are the bench producers.

David Lee wasn't impressing me too much either, whenever he was in he did get me a lot of rebounds, but that just took away from Perkins' boards.

So...I traded him to Phoenix for Kurt Thomas (big contract, comes off the books this year). I had Thomas and Perkins up front for awhile. Thomas can also hit that outside jumper from time to time leaving Perkins to do the inside banging when the second unit was in. Rush, Jackson and Denier to a certain extent provided the outside shots or the drive and dish.

Uhm, then Perkins got injured and I was left with a front court of Thomas and Malik Rose. Rose flat out sucks, so I was desperate for another big. Thomas was then shifted to the C spot (while Perkins was injured) and I signed Lampe for the minimum. During those 20 something games Lampe really impressed, I decided he's good enough to stick around. So now he plays alongside Perkins. The second unit is sometimes a lot more fun to play with than my first unit.

I'm really thinking about whether I continue with this...I'm just having so much fun, I don't know if I'll be able to duplicate the same type of success with practically the same team (sans Rose/Thomas) and not get bored. :)

I Don't know if anyone of you have done this before, but yesterday i pumped faked Ricky Davis out of his skin with Melo, Drove to the lane and then he went behind the back and dunked it all in one motion  (Not a regular behind the back move, where the ball hits the floor, but when he goes behind the back one hand to another, while taking his 2 steps, then slammed it on Garnett :D
This almost the exact play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrmXvZ97gHY
(without the fake)
It was pretty sick and i'd never done that before (Y)

EDIT: and MLG33, i recommend having a look at the 2k forums and finding a list of all the jump shots that need changing. There are plenty of players who need their Jump Shots changed, there were like 3-4 from Denver alone, that i had to change. As you play just suss out the jump shots and if it looks wrong, go through them all and find the right one... Assuming your playing next gen...?

and shadowgrin was spot on saying Andre Miller is the perfect player to fill J-Kidd's role (Y) Too bad you chose Cassell Dean...

Haha, even worse was the fact that i didnt even get to use him.. I simmed the first season so that i could play with a rookie on the roster, and Cassell retired haha.. Which lead me to use the pick i wanted for a big man, on a point guard (who won MVP in his 3rd year).. But all in all, i only played about 3 games out of the 3 seasons, which sucks, because im yet to actually do what jackal did and play a season.. Anyone recommend a good team that is a challenge, that would be fun enough to get me to finish a season for once?

And before i hit submit, just wondering if anyone has used Iguodala (your youtube link prompted that one scotty haha) and can tell me what he's like on the game?

Yeah Iguodala aint bad in the game, They use him a bit in the offense and he makes a fair amount of his shots.
I think the 76'ers would be a pretty fun and challenging team to use or maybe the Celtics, Memphis would be pretty challenging, but not fun...
Of Course theres the Nuggets, but because most of their starters have such high ratings, it's fairly easy to dominate. So i try to do the proper rotations and bring in Kleiza, Najera etc. and play Fast Break ball like in real life.

I try to replica their real playing style (Melo, Nene Pick and Roll, Iverson drive to Kleiza open 3 etc.) Does anyone else do this, or do you guys just Pop 3's all night long?

It was fun rebuilding the Knicks. Just the thought of replacing Thomas was enticing.

I think the only two players I had left were Jeffries, Frye & Robinson. Thing I liked about what I did is I didn't go all nuts and get Kobe or Duncan.

I got unproven players, both the players that have become my main focus of offense (Holmes, Center) are both rookies. Well Center sat out year one and Holmes is a true rookie. So yeah, it was sort of a surprise to the league if you will to see the Knicks go from the lotto to winning the Championship.

I play an inside outside game. If the opposing team is giving my bigs the opportunity to score without clamping down on them, Frye & Center can manage big time in the paint. If they do start doubling, Jeffries, Robinson and Holmes are there for the open shot. Moving the ball around and all, it always gives good shots.

What I like about 2K7 is it's never a blow out. You go on droughts and the opposing team makes (realistic) runs. So often I've gotten frustrated by losing by one or two points because my last shot just swirled around the hoop and flipped out.

I have a rivalry going on with the Magic. Marbury was traded to them since they had cap space and Howard seems to go off on my Center, so yeah, it's kind of a thing. It's the only team that won the series from me. I think they had three wins opposed to our one. :x

Nah i haven't either.. I've searched through google a couple of times and stuff like that, but the best i can find is 2k8 wish lists on the 2k boards and stuff of no use like that.. I think it was like this last year though, where there was info about Live but not 2k..

I finally bought a PS2 just to get NBA 2k7 (I would have gotten a PS3, but it's only for the NBA 2k7 game and I already have a Wii)... I love it. It certainly has it's own issues, but as someone else said earlier- it shits all over Live.

#1 absolute best thing- no more "#22 with the rebound!" "#17 takes the shot!" "And starting at center, #69!"... created/drafted players all have actual names that are pronounced by the announcers. I love it. (Y)

And, like Jackal said- I honestly feel the motivation to PLAY this game, not just sim, sim sim.

it doesn't say the numbers for players if you pick their name out of the premade list they give you when creating them.
