Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

From the bit we saw of it, Chain Grappling looks very interesting.

Agreed, promising stuff.

The entrances look incredibly real, but I'm honestly not that impressed by the gameplay clip.

As with the NBA 2K15 videos that have come out, I take them with a grain of salt. The quality of the game can appear much worse when the person on the sticks isn't that proficient.
That said...yeah, it does resemble last year's game in the animations and whatnot - models and textures are obviously much better - but I did like last year's game for the most part, so to me that's not necessarily a bad thing. Hopefully, there are improvements that can be felt, even if they can't necessarily be seen...no John Cena pun intended.

I don't even have that big of a problem with how the game looked and felt the last couple of years, or the movements and animations.
What I could not stand was the boring, unimaginative AI that just wants to beat you as quickly as possible and not really put on a proper wrestling match. I want the AI to have a gameplan. I want the wrestlers to act like their counterparts (I still don't think they're implementing NBA like tendencies sliders for every individual).
Add to that the weird behavioral bugs with the tables and OMG moments and it got stale very fast for me.
And from what I've seen how Cesaro acts in that clip, I'm not expecting much improvement on that front.

lol Cesaro didn't even have his entrance played. REALISM!!

That sounds more like it. I didn't think they would include NXT scrubs like Zayn
Sun Aug 17, 2014 12:17 pm
There's always DLC.
Sun Aug 17, 2014 12:31 pm
That's not the entire roster. Apparently more would be revealed soon.
Sun Aug 17, 2014 12:51 pm
Meanwhile, as I feared, the Hulkamania edition is an EB exclusive:

If you go on their roster page and scroll all the way to the bottom, it says "Full Roster Coming Soon". But I will assume that is DLC.
Pre-ordered the Hulkamania edition for $69.99 CAD because of a Canadian Best Buy price error. So I lucked out.

Good stuff.

I might end up getting it yet, simply due to the DLC and the fact that it doesn't exactly break my budget. All the same, it's a little more than I'd rather spend on a single game, so I'll mull it over. Worst case scenario, perhaps I can chuck the collectibles up on eBay and get a few bucks back.

The "pre-order exclusive" DLC is always available a couple of months later, isn't it? Probably the better option.
Mon Aug 18, 2014 7:25 am
Tyson kidd & Tamina in this too

I just checked and last year's pre-order DLC was indeed eventually made available, so yeah, good news.
Mon Aug 18, 2014 11:32 am
just realized no Paige
Mon Aug 18, 2014 3:55 pm
no macho man? i am out
Mon Aug 18, 2014 6:16 pm
It remains to be seen whether any more Legends will be announced.
Mon Aug 18, 2014 8:26 pm
I didn't see the roster yet.. But is this like every other years? Like release 75% of the actual roster with the game, release some of what's left and ignore some of them for no reason?

Just today however, a rumor began circulating that WWE 2K15 by 2K Sports could be coming to the PC according the Korean Game Rating Boards.
If you look and translate the listing, WWE 2K15 for PC is listed for a 2015 release.
WWE 2K15 will be available for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 at launch, however if this rumor proves true a PC version could be on the horizon!
IT'S HAPPENING
