Dear LiveJournal,

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

I was having a problem the other day where I had to have a class 'inherit' from another class, and the error was that it couldn't access that other class, when they were both right next to each other, in the same folder. It's a good thing my neighbor is adept at programming, but even he couldn't figure out why it does that. (N) But yeah, using Notepad does sound pretty hard. I'd imagine it's pretty similar as writing HTML code?

Producing a webpage using Notepad is easy. You'll only use basic codes and presto, you now have your webpage.

Well, that's just for me.

Check the class names Axel., you might have just missed a capital letter or something.

Nope, it's the same. I say 'extends Sprite' (yes, Sprite is the class name), and on the folder, the file name is Sprite.java. I'll just wait until Monday to see what the school's JCreator does.

You need the file Sprite.class in the folder as well.

Just went to see Paul. For some reason the first five minutes of the movie played in 16:9 (squashed, not cropped) with all the lights on.

I've figured out what the problem is, but just don't know how to solve it. When I build the java file, it creates another folder and puts the class file (of both classes) inside that folder, therefore that's why it can't access it. I've tried copy/pasting the stuff inside the new folder next to the Sprite.class file, but when I build it, once again, a new folder is created. :wall: Can't figure out what it is that's making a new folder.

 Maybe you should get the javac compiler (a console-based one) and start from there after you compile from JCreator. Remember that it always generate an .EXE file.

That or either JCreator is made to screw you. How about an uninstall-install solution?

Dear LiveJournal,

Today had my first exam to finish out the high school (we have 5 exams here, 1 is obligatory (essay type of thing), 4 is up to choose), first up was the essay kind of thing. Usually haven't had any problem with it, but today had some difficulties with it.

 JCreator at school did the same. Didn't get a chance to ask the teacher, though.

Cartar, I usually end up BS'ing essays when I struggle with them. I still turn out alright. Good luck with the rest of the exams. :)

:shifty: I really don't get why would the JCreator be generating some other folder after compiling.

It's a problem if you haven't started studying yet and the tests are Calculus and Physics. You can breeze through SATs as long as you understand basic Algebra and can speak English. I don't get Calculus.

well, physics, calculus, studio art, and english i completely gave up on and saved myself the money by not taking the tests. on the others (Bio, Gov't/Political systems, Euro History, & US History) i looked over notes i took during that year and the textbook a little bit at the stuff we didn't get to yet. my stance on AP & SATs is that you can't really study for it unless you know exactly what's on it so i studied (glanced over) general ideas and theories and the bigger picture

btw, i got a 3 (out of 5, which is passing) in bio political systems, & Euro History and was shocked when i got a 2 in US History, which i felt i was better at than euro history. and all it got me were 20 college credits which equates to 1 full quarter of college credits

I would've done so, but this year, they told us our payments had to be in by the end of September :!: . I paid for both AP exams, then the very next day, they said, "You can pay up until February, but no refunds."

Fuck. I'll be really happy with a 3.

Lol on you guys having to pay for your own AP exams. Our school paid for ours. I ended up with 16 credits just from 5's in psych and Bio. Got a 3 on both english's and statistics which got me jack shit. My sister ended up with 37 credits though with all of hers, basically a full years worth of credit

that's because we had like 60+ kids in the AP program and it's like 60 bucks a test and there are 9 or 10 different AP classes so yeah that's a lot of money

yeah what you get from your college depends on the school, i actually got more credits than you and you got 5s
