9/10 - Excellent
Pros: Setting is fantastic, Pandora is a fascinating world; good character progression and customization capabilities; solid weapon diversity; nice boss characters, with many having well done encounters; three solid DLC additions; graphics and sound are good to great; I like the way the story is told, but then again I hate cut-scenes; lots of quests; can approach quests in different manners in many cases; a bit of humor.
Cons: Long hikes, especially in the instanced areas with no vehicles, open-world areas work much better; extra audio logs with lots of the background info were cut which doesn't flesh the world out for people who don't want to track it down; billions of weapons, but you generally keep to the same ones for a while until you find something significantly better; same for shields, grenades and class mods; lack of diversity in the standard enemies who are pretty dumb until after the "twist" and does somewhat limit how engagements go down; "CHECK ME OUT I'M DANCIN"; one horrible DLC; hiding too many options on PC, plus how it loses my settings every so often; Bloodwing in comparison to the other powers; does little to escape RPG style quests to fully utilize the FPS aspect except in a handful of cases; environments fit the world but are somewhat repetitive and bland, especially the instanced areas; they removed the red chests from New Haven.
Co-op: Can be more fun or worse depending on what idiot you're playing with. Especially if they're some kind of fool who doesn't know where to go in any game ever without following indicators even if the map is static and contained and you spend tons of time in it. And yet they whine if you drive them there because "they wanted to find it by themselves" so they drive across four zones with loading time instead of fast traveling or something.
