Well, theres a second installment. After work today I got a txt sayin my cousin and the friend i was with, while they were away from the party (they missed all of the "riot") nearly had a big crash. What happend was when they left to go have drinks at the guys house over in riccarton (ages away from where the party was) they decided to go for a drive thru aranui. I cant think right now if you have to go thru aranui to get there, but they did. As they went down the road they saw a scrap and slowed down to get thru the crowd of people, there were dudes with bats and shit. they get past and keep driving, and the friend (i wont say his name) being only 14 (i hardly know him, only hung out with him a few times before, but hes pretty cool, especially for a 14 year old) and not giving a shit about anything, decide to speed down this road and drift around the corner, as they came past, it looked like a rival group was coming to join the scrap, and mistook the car as an "enemy". suddenly a bottle comes thru the drivers side window, smashing it, and shattering on my friends face. they were going fuckin fast at the time, and my friend sorta froze for a second, and came to just in time to save them from going over the footpath into a house.

I have also just been told that my friend (stealing cars isnt exactly uncommon for him) is going (back) to prison, for something like 8 months. I didnt even know you can lock up 14 year olds, and no it isnt a juvinile prison, because my dad just got out of the same one hes going to. I dont know if its true, but someone that wasnt there told me after work today that another person told him that tim (the guy who got beat) did lose his eye. I wont fully believe it till i see for myself, but it wouldnt suprise me. I do feel sorry for him, but I was there and now that I think about it, he did deserve a beat down.

And Nick, at 80% of the parties that get out of hand, police come in riot gear and completely destroy anyone too slow. I actually have a sad story from a friend of mine, he lost his leg back in somalia (where hes from) was far too slow to out run the cops, and they batoned him real bad, he had to go to hospital. It sucks now because the police are getting tasers soon, and judging by the way they use their force, alot of people are gonna get even more hurt.

The guy that threw the bottle, if he and his friends ever do find me and fuck me up, Im pretty sure I can get them a good beating from people i know as well. I doubt he'll remember what i looked like though.

Crazy night dude, can't say ive ever experienced that type of night live in Christchurch, although I only really go to Pubs/Bars etc when im up there.

On the Riot Cops, thats pretty crazy, it takes quite a bit for us to get them called out in Dunedin, and you know what our reputation is like for destructive drinking. Even when fires get lit on the streets and the fire men get bottles thrown at them (Im not on of those idiots) the Police usually come without riot gear. Although the big riot during the Undie 500 weekend was pretty crazy

Yeah, Dunedin must be a hell of a mess after Friday and Saturday nights with all the students . I'm just happy I wasn't hurt, It got pretty brutal, even a girl got knocked out. I went past where the party was today, (Studholme Street, you may know it, Its near Cashmere High off of Somerfield) and people had broken windows in their houses and thier was broken glass all over the place. Skidmarks all down the road, hardly any letter boxes left around the area. I'm hoping they don't get their hands on tasers, I'm quite sure at least one death will occur, I mean you never know how badly a "non lethal" weapon can hurt the wrong person. I also heard recently the cops in Christchurch said if they aren't allowed tasers give them those beanbag shotguns. Fuck that.

The Riot Cops got new gear now, at least up here. What they do is they get about 20 normal cops lined up (probably 10 in each line) then one line of around 15 riot gear cops infront, and they literally sweep through the street. They aren't slow either.

Mark, when riot cops come, you don't talk to them, you don't argue with them, you just move....at my mate's 21st in Upper Riccarton at the Bush Inn bar, there were big fights outside of it, then after it's all cleared & all the people involved in it have left, the riot police shows up....there's like at least 20 of them, maybe more....they have all their shit, but yeah, this guy in his late 20's & his gf/wife etc show up to go to restaurant & get caught in middle of it, not knowing what was going on, so riot police start telling them to move down the road like they had with us....anyways, the women says no, they're going into restaurant, so the riot police just shove her face first into the gutter....then the guy just fully decks the cop who throws her down....the cops didn't end up charging the guy (he did go to lockup that night though) in the end because of the fiasco it might of caused, but yeah, just shows you not to mess with riot police....

later that night in town, 2 of my mates got attacked by about a dozen young Maori's, yep, they're gutless, but so are a lot of them....another two ended up in lockup (one from the riot police when he said to them "oink oink" & the other one who was randomly bullcharged by some guy he had never met)....

another time riot police fully batoned my car....

needless to say, I don't miss that part of Christchurch....

Flite, yep, I know all about that sort of shit going down....I don't condone what your "mate" did calling in backup from Aranui (of all places)....that's a pussy thing to do & shows what sort of person he is....I can understand having mates with you as backup if someone else starts shit, but don't call in the meatheads who are just looking to have a fight....I spent half a decade trying to calm situations like that, maybe not as explosive, but yeah, I don't think any less of you for stuff you did on that night....I know I have done stuff I wasn't too proud of, but when I think about it, I was kind of defending myself & doing the best to keep my arse out of trouble....

I might not of made it clear that without his backup, he was outnumbered about 20-1. When he started chasing the dude, for some reason they all ran. Daniel is a big dude, but he would of got a beating because their were 20, and they weren't exactly small themselves. When we chased him and finally got him, Daniel fought for less then one minute with about 5 of the guys at once, then it got broken up. As Daniel walked away, and Tim and co went the other way, Daniel turned round and said something along the lines of "You fuckin skinner. Don't fuck with me boy or I'l get you killed!!!", and as he just finished talkin, some dude landed him smack on the jaw with a bottle. We ran back because they then chased us (with bottles) and Daniel txted the dudes, and they were there within 8 or so minutes. From there, they all got out and joined Daniel and every single one of Tims friends ran after the first punch, leaving him for dead. One of the Aranui dudes was saying "Kill him! Kill him" and when the girl came in to stop it, she got knocked out cold. Daniel actually stopped it himself after the eye thing, then they got back in the car. I felt real bad for Tim when he was just lying on the footpath, not moving, and this guy goes "Don't fuck with A-Town..." and then kicked him in the face. They are fuckin brutal, but in all honesty, Tim could of kept his racist comments to himself.

I think I missed out a big chunk of the story (the part I just wrote) because I still had the alcohol in me. Is Brisbane as bad as here?

oh okay, that makes it somewhat different....still not a good situation, but I originally thought it was just the one guy....a lot of the skinheads are pussies too, they only fight in huge packs when they know they can't lose....but yeah, main thing is I'm glad you came out of the night unscathed

I was referring to my time from around 1998-2002 (when I was 17-20) when I lived in Christchurch & frequented many parties, clubs, pubs, etc....sometimes they were in seedy areas, sometimes they were in good areas....but yeah, it seemed to get out of control a lot over there back then....from what Flite says, it's still the same as it was....

well i went to a party with a that turned out to be hosted by a jesus boy and he wouldnt let me drink there which was pretty dumb. so i had a prety quiet night with some friends at a guy that I havnt seen in ages house, and when the guy left one of the chcks i was with put some porn on,.. i was like but the porno basically ruined the mood because it was so shit. oh yeah and i got attacked by a guy with num (nun?) chucks, becuase some little shits smashed his fence and i got the blame. so yeah theres my nights story. oh and the HOTTEST chick joined up at my work. i pretty much fucked up my chances of pulling a j23 already because i accidently locked her in the big freezer.

I didnt actually do anything this weekend. what happend was i was stumbling down the road, these kids about 100metres ahead of by smash in this dudes fence, i keep walking, then about 5 houses past the one that got smashed this short fat dude comes running out of his house with just pants on and nunchucks comes sprinting after me, i didnt run because i thought he was joking or some thing then he just went crazy and hit me in the leg with his nunchucks. then i was just like "it wasnt me" and then hes like "ok, its all good buddy." i was like umm you just hit me....

and the girl, i was thinking about her too much, didnt hear her say "dont close the door" (of the big meat freezer) and i closed it. she got out like 5 minutes later though

amazing how quickly alcohol can leave your system sometimes. Right now I feel fine.

the reason for this post - found out the details of that guys injuries:

1. Eyeball was out of socket

2. Fractured skull

3. Fracture bone around eye (orbital? the think that joe johnson broke?)

4. Broken nose

5. Metal plates around eye socket

6. Had laser eye surgery

Quite the beatdown.

as far as drinking goes, i can no longer do it unless i have a deathwish. my liver is so wash up that it can no longer take me to 45 if i get a drop of alcohol in my blood. this so is the result of years of abuse. if you love to drink, always remember the liver is your drinking buddy always look out for both of you
