Anybody saw Dontrelle hit a granny a few moments ago? Nice. (y)

When was the last time before this that a pitcher hit a grandslam in a game? (Don't google it, just guess)

Sun Jul 09, 2006 12:42 am

no clue...

the fans do really love AJ. they voted him on the all star team (Y) 8-)

Sun Jul 09, 2006 1:02 am

RYAN Howard Home Run Derby Champion!!!!!!

Fri Jul 28, 2006 6:12 pm

I went to a Toronto home game a few weeks back during my trip.. it was against the Mets and saw Halladay pitch against Hernandez. Wells homered... great game, especially the winning the game part.

God fucking damnit what the fuck are the Brewers doing???? Trading Carlos Lee for a couple of scrubs, a closer who lost his job.....fucking shit.

Tue Aug 01, 2006 1:52 am

Because they couldn't afford to pay Lee. They got some decent peices for him i think though but no prospects.

Tigers just aquired Sean Casey from the pirates and optioned shelton to Toledo. Still waiting on the Twinkies or the White Sox to nake another move.

I saw the Red Sox might get Andruw Jones?
I think Tejada will stays in Baltimore.
I think Soriano will go to the Twins

The Sox aren't going to make a trade.

They need to bad, they need to shake up the team somehow, they have played with no heart latley and they need somone to spark them. If the Twins end up getting Soriano and the Sox do nothing, we could have dug our own grave by standing pat. :?

No you're wrong. Its a long season and Kenny is doing the right thing by not panicking. There is no trade we can make that will make the team better. The pitching just needs to come around, and if it doesn't we're dead.

Tue Aug 01, 2006 10:45 am

agreed..

though i do like MacDougal's acquisition- he's got great stuff

Cotts-MacDougal-Thornton-Jenks. that's a pretty solid/reliable core to close out games

Now if our starters can give us 6 or 7 good innings (that's mean you Javy and Buehrle!)...

Tue Aug 01, 2006 11:27 am

Wow, the Dodgers were busy. I didn't expect them to be making moves. Is Gagne playing, or is he still out?

He's could be out for the rest of the year, but i'm not sure.

I wish I would have been here so I could rub it in Indy and Air Gordon's face that the Twins swept the White Sox. Oh well.

Sun Aug 06, 2006 2:33 pm

You could have done it, if you wouldn't had left crying in the first place.

Just kidding, welcome back Riot :P

Sun Aug 06, 2006 2:38 pm

13 strikeouts for Javy today, and he only gave up 2 hits. I think we're about to go on a big run here. I still think we're going to win the divison.

Mon Aug 07, 2006 4:41 am

The Sox ahead of Detroit? I don't see that happening.

Tue Aug 08, 2006 12:05 am

I don't even see the White Sox getting into the playoffs, period. The Twins are playing great baseball right now and the Red Sox/Yankees will also compete for that wildcard spot. I just don't see the White Sox being able to fend off both teams. I'm going to go with a homer pick and say the Minnesota Twins will win the wildcard with the Tigers, Athletics and Yankees there as the division winners. Sorry Sox (both Red and White) fans.

Thu Aug 10, 2006 2:42 pm

TWINS ARE AHEAD OF THE WHITE SOX!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Thu Aug 10, 2006 4:22 pm

I'm glad to see the Twins making a push mid season. I thought they were dead in the water early on. Hopefully the arm injury for Liriano isn't more serious than a few missed starts.

I'm just glad I dont have to see the Braves embarass themselves again in the playoffs. This year their starting pitching has been so bad it's hard to even watch. Nearly shit myself when I heard Andruw Jones had been claimed on waivers, just glad to see my fav player is staying in Atlanta for at least another season.

Thu Aug 10, 2006 8:28 pm

Those pesky Twins! Now Detroit's got the Chi-Sox coming up. It should be very interesting in the central the rest of the way.

Sat Aug 12, 2006 12:33 pm

Right, so I'm watching the Jays-Twins game with my brother, and he asks me why the logo on the Twins' hats is a T and a C. I can understand the T (Twins?), but I have no idea what the C is for. Anyone (ie Riot) know what the C on the Twins hats stands for?

Sat Aug 12, 2006 1:13 pm

Twin Cities.

Sun Aug 13, 2006 12:13 am

Huh. I didn't think of that.
