sooo I wound up downloading 6 & 7... and man, I thought I hated Shane's wife before... this bitch can't keep her mouth shut. I'm liking this new angle with Julian in the Strike team. I've always liked his character... he's the hard-working guy in the group.

So i figure Shane & Vic will be going at it for the rest of the season.

My roommate downloaded 8 & 9 last night... I still have yet to watch em both. I might be able to squeeze in some time tonight but I doubt it. I probably won't watch it until Sunday.

Oh, another thing I've been meaning to mention/discuss. Aren't you glad Paula Garces is back? No? You will be.

Shane & Vic going at eachother is the highlights for me. I couldn't care less for the St Marco's murders or any other case for that matter. Those two interacting with eachother, heavenly.

Mara, I always disliked her. She's what came between the strike team. Remember once Shane was defending Vic after they had a falling out and it went something like this...

Shane: "Brothers have fights, that's what they do."
Mara: "So how come Vic always makes you out to be the little brother?"

Snide remarks like that are what made me hate Mara and slowly, when Shane started getting that attitude of my wife is the know it all and I do indeed get treated like dirt by Vic is when I started disliking him. The thing with Lem just sealed the deal. Also nice to see Ronnie's character getting more camera time.

Jackal, Qballer, and Indy seems to be in this thread. That's 3 people, so I guess it's ok for it to have a thread.

If it was just Jackal and Qballer, those two should just log on to their IM's.

I've just gotten the third season of the Shield on DVD. I'm waiting for season 4, that's when my family will start watching again. I can't wait for them to watch season 5!

I forgot to mention that.... and I just finished episode 9 and that is by far the BEST SHIELD EPISODE EVAR!! at that instant, I remembered why I love this show so much.

not only of Paula Garces, but the fact that Aceveda is finally gonna get shit on.

Personally, I'm getting sick of that bullshit between Vic & Shane. it's like 2 kids fighting in elemntary school... just trying to keep the other one down.

and that Billings guy is a fag. I hate him as much as Aceveda. I was definitely pulling for Dutch in the whole love triangle but Billings had to be a spiteful bitch and fuck it all up. for some reason, I could easily idenitfy more with Dutch than Hyatt so I obviously pull for Dutch. Maybe it's because I'm not a pretty white boy that I don't like Hyatt...

Season 4 w/ Glenn Close & Anthony Anderson was a pretty good season, but nothing like 5 with Forest Whitaker.

I see that as hilarious rather than "the bitchy tone" of Jackal.
Maybe I just got used to his posting or I've just witnessed a Jackal treatment.

I've actually seen the show, didn't really catch on to me.

If I do encounter or get interrogated by someone like that bald guy, I would really piss my pants out of fear.

When that brown envelope was pulled, I just knew it was that picture. Aceveda tried so hard disposing of that snapshot.

I may not be a fan of the show but I know badassness of The Shield.
I didn't know that a badass show like The Shield has some sensitive pussy fans like QBaller.

funny thing is that when you think you have it all figured out, the writers throw you a curveball. i can imagine something crazy happening in this love triangle.

I was thinking the same. If that isn't a story line they wanted to develop, I don't think they would've made it such a big thing. (Like with Billings calling Dutch etc)

Imagine Dutch goes all psycho and assaults Hyatt. Or Garces for that matter. Remember how he strangled that cat at the end of I believe season 3? Could've been four too. Anyways, I really wish they had gone a little deeper with that storyline. Imagine Dutch investigating his own murders.

He really knows how to solve serial murders so he could be a really good one. He wouldn't be investigated by the "Strike Team" given they handle more in gang related stuff.

he has motive seeing that Billings fucked him with the text message from Tina's phone and Billings has been a cocky arrogant bastard since they got paired up.

The whole Tina thing might be just enoguh to drive him over the edge. And they might just be going for a cop killing theme this season.

I don't think he'll take it out on Hyatt just because of the fact that Billings had everything to do with it. I know that Dutch doesn't know the whole story, but he will. Because all he has to do is ask Tina aobut the text message and he'll know it wasn't from her.

Watched episode 10, nothing spectacular. Sub-par at best.

meh. i figured. after bombshells in the last few, they had to slow it down a bit. it's good to know when i need start downloading more episodes

funny thing is, now i have tuesday nights free for the next 3-4 weeks

Works out perfectly for me, Tuesday nights are "Sneak Preview" at the movies. Me & a group of friends have agreed to make it a weekly thing, this way we're sure to atleast have one night of hanging out together.

As of late it's been such a rush rush with school/work we hardly get to hang out anymore.

my roommate said he downloaded 10 & 11 so I'll probably watch it tonight/tomorrow night.

I figured as much, to get faster speeds, I'd use Mininova.org. You can type in Shield 6 and sort it by seeds, you'll see that the most "recent" episodes will have the higher number of seeds.

I checked out Shield + 11 and it also gave me a list of season 5 episode 11. I was already like WTF?! My RSS feed stopped working? What gives...

Wow,this thread has totally inspired me to get season 1 of this show.It sounds like a great show with a lot of twist and turns.So I'll check it out.

Hopefully I'll like it and enjoy it.
