What do you hate most while playing basketball?

Yeah, that old man joke was as corny as it gets.

If I make a huge block or basket, I occasionally just pump my fist or yell with authority, but other than that, I just keep a poker face and get back on defense or whatever I'm supposed to do next.

i could brush my teeth after i've made a basket and still be back on defence on time because i'm such a fast runner (okay, i'm full of myself)

as far as i remember, im the only player on my team to ever play transition D. It was always 1,2,3 dudes against me. I managed to stop them a few good times (Y)

I have a feeling he was trying to make himself look black perhaps believing he would play better. It didn't work. I would've sent him off, made him wash it off before he could play.

hehe guys like you are the worst.. i'd hate to have you as teammates. you stick around the arc on offense and you probably get run over in the paint by shorter but stronger guys

but i really enjoy playing these guys- they're soft so their easy to score on just as long as you go strong to the rack on them

Lol if you tried to take it strong inside against me you'd end up flat on your ass up near the three point line. I'm a defender who learnt to shoot, not a shooter who's trying to learn how to defend :P

haha you must the be "the anamoly", a hacking anamoly to be specific ;)

most of the big guys who like to shoot 3's are the lanky type so they are easy to push around. well at least at the rec rooms where i play.

btw what are your measurements? :cheeky: (in "american" please :proud: )

By grade 8 I was playing on a 90 ft. court. My elementary school was 60.

what if the shit teammate gets the ball and starts running without dribbling...

or when they get the ball and dribble with 2 hands, then WHINGE at the ref for calling double dribble

Holy shit, I have a kid just like that on my team. Sad thing was, he made the school team and I didn't, so he throws that in sometimes. Bizzar thing is that he is the only kid on the team that dosen't think I should be there. About 5-6 people that hate me said that I should be there, and 2-3 over themselves.

P.S. Jae, not according to the conversion I did.

That's weird, I've never seen it converted into 6'4. On my 2 metre long tape measurer 6'5 is 195cm's exactly.

Well some stupid shit happened tonight in my game that cost the team the game.

1.) DUMB REFS

We were down by two, and a dude on my team was pushing the ball with 20 secs left and he went up with the contested layup and got fouled on the play with the "and 1" and the ref called an offensive foul when he didn't even push off. So we ended up losing 71-68 in OT in a BIG GAME because of the stupid refs and it wasn't all the refs, but that play really cost it for us.

Forgot about one thing that I hate:

Being injured at the time of the finals. It's fucking terrible. Atleast we won and I got a medal too. For nothing.

Actually I can relate to that. I once had to sit out a season because of age restrictions. I was a year older than the rest of my team and even though I was under 16 for the duration of the comp I turned 16 in that calendar year and that's how they worked the age groups: calendar year rather than timeframe.

We made the finals and lost, and even though there were spare medals I didn't get one which kind of stung, because I'd gone to every game and I'd actually been coaching the time for half the year because our coach couldn't make those games because of his new job. I was kind of an assistant coach that season, practiced with the team every week, came to all the games and filled in even though it was kind of awkward coaching guys I was going to play alongside again in a few months' time.

Thin as fuck too, everytime he dunked I thought he'd break something (apart from the basket).

The thing I hate the most is when your team screws around and then tries to turn it on in the end of the 3rd and 4th quarter...back in high school our team was the 2nd best team in our league. Our coach would always be ticked with us, because the first half of the games we would just screw around, then try and play serious in the second. I think we gave the guy ulcers. Our record could have been much better, if we played for reals. In the end we did end up winning our league, but we got knocked out of the playoffs in the second round. ahh the good old days
