Headshot Requests for Live Cards

I wish I did some stuff that I'd promise I'd do for you HG, but it's I don't have the time or I don't have the motivation lately. You've asked me for the PDA thing, I've said that I'd give this a shot and I'd give you my pstat but so far it's still zilch

well... here is my first submission.. i guess its not final cause i still gotta clean up the curves and figure out a better text.. but just something to sit here and say that i actually contributed

This is real nice and it'll be our first IN-GAME headshot...which is what we were shooting for in the beginning! the edge of the 'swirl' just needs smoothening out and it should look real nice! Another Corey Maggette headshot...man that means I have to write a special edge case condition to accomadate multiple headshots of the same player! Awesome challenge!

Actually the reverse sides of the LiveCards are strictly based on what the Dynasty player submits as a screenshots...usually I'll ask him to submit the coolest shot of the Team MVP.

Using transparent gifs, the parts that are 'super-imposed' are the team logo on the bottom left hand side of the card, the Position, and the players name . However, as you can see, the lousiest part of the reverse side is the jersey number as I'm still using straight HTML on that part.

I know this is outside of the headshot request and scope of the thread but can anybody here make transparent .gifs of the numbers 0 through 9?
(just big enough to be legible but smaller than the name font)

I know most of you guys are used to seeing awesome photoshop stuff and somewhere down the line...hopefully liveGMC can autoproduce Live Cards to that standard...the problem we run into as a developer is the the limitations when trying to automate the process....and that's where I'm at right now...believe me know, the auto-creation of the cards is about 40 times better than it was back in Live 2004... and unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to revisit the Live Card code until late of Live 2005 when people were wrapping up their dynasties anyway(cklitsie can attest for this...)

Anyway, I'm blabbing...let's get some rockin headshots going!

The main point is that the GM submitter has the right to choose what screen shot they wish to submit...so if the screenshot is boring or exciting, it's still strictly based upon the GM submitter's choice...and deservingly so because it represents their dynasty.

But yeh, the stuff around it could be more exciting...suggestions? CK made a new font so I'll have to implement that sooner than later...thank you cklitsie!

And Cklitsie, I'm going to definitely use that font that you gave me! I came to a realization though that I have to come up with some special conditions just in case the Full name is too long...I came to this realization when the name Sarunas Jasikevicius came into my program and it had no idea how to compute it because it went beyond the boundaries of the Live Card!

Another dynasty submission has come in! This time it's Andrew Bogut...so I'll be using Jae's new-school version headshot. Unfortunately, since Bogut is a rookie, he's not on that website where I get all the bio information...so I'll have to do some programming Kung-Fu and auto-pull rookie information from NBA.com...the same deal happend when looking for Sarunas' info.

Actually, I really like PSP's new version a lot(even though I'm pretty visually impaired)...I've been using switching from eval verson to eval version so I'm FINALLY going to invest and buy the full version come February!

re: Eddie Griffin...whoever takes a shot at it, always 'aim' to make the headshot team-ambiguous if possible...as Griffin could end up on any team in Live.

Text looks pretty crappy because of the Perspective, I need to either take out the perspective or...i dont know. And any of you guys have ideas on how to straighten the lines, like on the stroke on the 3 bars?

2nd) Does Photoshop have that perspective customization for Text? If so, perhaps somebody could help out or even apply the text if you can provide the headshots without the names.

Nevertheless, the background idea is really unique on all of them!
