oh, okay, you scared me for a second there

how cool was it to see a dunk like that up close? the best dunk i've really seen was just ine where the guy [a 6'3 14 year old :o] almost got a tech for it  [in a 8-9th grade leauge that i had to play in because noone in my school wanted to play, as im in 7th grade]

I couldn't speak for like 10 seconds, because he just got up so fucking high. Three's another guy I met there (I haven't talked to him since though) who claimed he had a 63 " vertical

i'd doubt that. but what do i know, never been to Rucker

I do remember his name was Skywalker...I'll see if I can find anything.

EDIT: According to this, his vert is 45"...I'm pretty sure this is him though.

Yeah, he does it...but it doesn't matter so much, 'cos I doubt he would do that in a real game with real players. Even playin' against Junior High players.
It's just...........Playground basketball. The real basketball is to play good defense, good offense, good shooting, good rebounding and specially: TEAMWORK.
Basketball's a team game, if you're not able to play that type of basketball then u have no chances to play professional basketball.

Yeah he was, I saw a little of that show on ESPN, but I didn't keep watching because it was boring. Goat, did Mafia show you that magazine?

...I have no clue.

FendeR: no I googled it

Da King23: no, but he did a 360 windmill on a fast break in a high school game. And I know most street players are like that, that's why I always tell him to shoot more. He's actually a pretty good shooter, I always ask him to take 10 three pointers and now he usually makes 5 or 6.

I don't mind watching Streetball, but I would never get myself caught up in trying to learn those moves, it won't get you anywhere.

When I play with friends, nobody ever tries to be fancy, we play the way it should be played.

I remember one time, it wasn't even that long ago, me and 3 other friends were playing at Hoop-it-Up when we played this team of five guys in the finals. So we played 3-on-3 when we realized all they were doing was trying to "school" us.

Well first of all, the final score was 21-6, second, they never got one point off of doing any of those moves.

The guy one of my friends was guarding had to have gotten the ball stolen at least ten times. But the part I'll never forget, I was guarding a guy who I would have to say is at least 6'4", and I'm 6'1". Anyways, there was this one play where he was dribbling at the top of the key and everyone was standing off to the side, so he was dribbling on one spot for 34 hours and then finally he put the ball through my legs, and as he went up for the lay-up, I blocked him pretty bad, the ball went flying from his hand like a rocket and his ass ended up on the ground.

Now that I got that out of the way, as I said, I don't mind watching Streetball from time to time, but I would never waste my time trying to learn how to throw the ball off of someone's face when I could be learning how to improve my post game.

I just saw Cityslam, that was him. Damn, I never thought I'd see him on TV. He's real good, but he's a dipshit. He's really cocky and has no game other than dunking.

Sat Aug 06, 2005 10:49 am

i just watch the dunks. most of the times the moves don't get you very far anyways

Sat Aug 06, 2005 11:10 am

OK, that's another story....If he plays in high school, then it means that he plays good Defense and that he's a Team player...

Sat Aug 06, 2005 11:13 am

He DID play in High School...he's 23

lol, did he play in college too?

Sat Aug 06, 2005 11:17 am

yeah, but it was just a small school upstate, I forgot the name. He just wanted an education off a full scholarship, he never really wanted the NBA, so you probably never heard of him or seen him play.

Sat Aug 06, 2005 11:25 am

 Holy shit, now he could be playing in the NBA...

Sat Aug 06, 2005 11:38 am

I doubt it. He wasn't good enough and he knew it. He was really good, but you have to be a lot more than that to make it, and he was smart.

Sat Aug 06, 2005 11:53 am

Maybe he could make it to the NBDL....
Besides, do u have to be drafted by an NBA team to play in the NBDL??
