One thing I liked about JBL as commentator was despite being a heel character, he wasn't always rooting for the heels but for the guys that he liked most of the time. He was more like his real life self hating on new guys and goofy gimmicks.

dammit, I didn't want to get spoiled but it's everywhere. I go to a No Mercy mod forum and they have a spoiler forum that doesn't have hidden tags of their thread titles. The fucking announcement was on the front page.

Agreed, though I'd rather they keep the WWE title since it has the longer lineage. They need to ditch the custom belts that Cena and Edge have been sporting though, especially if it becomes the sole major heavyweight belt in the company.

Imo, the World Heavyweight title looks alot better than the regular WWE Title.. I think they should just merge the two, and let the wrestlers choose. But yeah, those Spinner belts should be kicked to the curb and never be suggested or used again...god I hate those belts.

I say go with a Unified route with a new belt but keep both lineages. As for the name maybe go with the WWE Title but different belt.

Well, was the TNA thing really that unexpected? Styles aluded to it in his IGN interview, and all the pieces were in place.

There were a lot of swerves in the process. MMA rumors, Other stars' names in the mix, etc. From what I've heard, his contract allows him to work on other stuff like the indies or even MMA so I'll be looking forward to that. I was hoping for Jericho though.

Kurt Angle told Dixie Carter that he had such a hard time in WWE to do stress. His stress level in TNA will be cut back by at least 90%. Angle knows he is going to get a huge push, no one will play politics with him, and he will have no restrictions on the ring.

Kurt will be coming in as a face.

No word yet on how long Angle's TNA deal is for but it is at least a 1 year deal.

The plan is for Kurt to work the monthly PPVs and about 1 TV match a month. This would cut his yearly amount of matches down from about 150 to around 24. This is a huge step forward for Kurt and most everyone feels like his body will be ok under this schedule.

The talk now is that Kurt will debut at Bound for Glory but will not wrestle until the 2 hour primtime switch on 11/16.

The only people who knew the announcement were JJ, Dixie, David Sahadi, Bob Carter, Sting, and the Vice President of Spike TV. Mike Tenay was never told who it was. He found out when we did and was rather upset by that until he saw who it was so his reaction on the PPV was 100% genuine.

The Angle footage was shot Thursday in TN at a warehouse. More footage then what was shown at NS was also shot to air on iMPACT! in the coming weeks. Sting was at the filming and met Angle for the first time.

The plan as of now is for Sting to drop the NWA title to Joe on his way out of TNA and then Joe will go on to feud with Angle.

The 4 people that Angle is most excited to wrestle in TNA are 1. Samoa Joe, 2. AJ Styles, 3. Sting, and 4. Christian Cage.

Morale in the TNA lockeroom is better then ever after last night. It was almost a party atmosphere backstage last night. The wrestlers were marking out as much as the fans.

like i said, no-one knew. especially not styles.

To add to that, while people were excited about the fact about Angle to TNA before. No one realized how close it was to happening with all the hoopla about him going to MMA and several reports saying he's loyal to WWE, etc.

I prefer the old WWE design myself (the one used up until John Cena's first reign) but whichever way they go, the main thing is ending the brand split and unifying the titles. And of course, if they have any wrestlers carry custom belts a la the Ultimate Warrior and Steve Austin, no more spinners.

no it isn't. it's pathetic. the entire IWC is trying to read too much into this. angle stabbed vince in the back because vince believed he would return to wwe, kurt was fired for going nuts backstage, kurt was fired so he could die in tna rather than wwe...

kurt angle, tna, and wwe know the truth. everyone else needs to stop fucking speculating.

I remember reading a poster on the prowrestling.com forums who made quite an in-depth absurd post on how Vince owns TNA... one of the most ridiculous theories I've heard in a while.

I'm not exactly a huge JBL fan but that is good news. Nevertheless, (insert rant about ending the brand split anyway here).
