I know you're trying to offend me with your snide remarks, but it really isn't working.... You're really trying to take a jab at me with just baseless assumptions, which I find more amusing than offensive.

I'd consider myself a fairly up-beat guy. I don't know what kind of skewered perception of reading you have, but I don't see anything in that post that really says a lot about me. Maybe you just need to get out a little more... I mean if you think Dance Flick was a good movie then I guess you're really missing out on the good stuff in life.

EDIT: How's that for making assumptions over the internet with no merit whatsoever!

Did you know that the waterboy is a spoof of people who use big words in an attempt to be taken seriously? Like how he keeps calling water the H2O. I love that movie.

I could give you the hug you need if you weren't in Canada. I'm comfortable enough in my sexuality to be hugging complete male strangers. But if you rather fight, we can do that too.

And scary movie sucked ass.

Are you a fan of Epic Movie, Date Movie, Superhero Movie (or whatever it was called) etc or just Danceflick?

Your logic is astounding. So I need a hug because I called you out on your awful taste in comedy movies?

Umm...Spoofs still need a little thing called humour. Meet the Spartans just tried to be like "hey look its <insert crappy easy to make fun of movie here>" and people still were laughing. I assumed danceflick would be the same. i didnt get it and since that movie iv'e lost faith in all the "genre" spoof movies. Give me an old fasioned 80's spoof any day over the shit those 2 writers from scary movie (note the 2 that arent the wayans brothers)

Of the ones you mentioned I only saw danceflick. And I don't consider myself a fan of anything.

Thank you. And no, everyone needs a hug. Allow me to ask you something. What''s more important to you, reality or perception?

Dr. Gonzo.
Meet the spartans was horrible. And If you are talking about airplane, that was cringe worthy. Still enjoyed it as I like lame humor. Life of Brian and the Holy Grail movie on the other hand were excellent and most likely the best in the genre.
The reason I liked danceflick I think, was because it mocks a lot of the things I used to think about in a serious manner. Laughing at danceflick is like laughing at a dumber version of myself. Which is healthy.

But since opinions are relative, calling someone out on their taste in movies is like telling someone they are stupid for thinking yellow is a cool color.

Isn't my opinion of thinking that spoof comedies are downright terrible just as valid then?

These few posts pretty much went no where.

Nobody has told you that you can't think spoof comedies suck ass.

Well you certainly do, according to the review you posted.

Re: The "Last Movie You Watched" thread

I didn't write that for you as I stated. And in that review I give reasons why people might not enjoy a movie like that. I did not say that thinking it sucks is wrong in any form or way.
The reason I wrote it was that there are a lot of people on rotten tomatoes that seem to think being an adult involves denying the kid in yourself. While it's more about knowing when to act responsively. Do you not feel like answering the question I asked you?

They are. Yellow sucks.

How I tell the difference between reality and perception? Simple. Anything that bleeds when I cut it is not real.

Plants aren't real?

People aren't real. The majority anyways.

I finally got to see Gran Torino, really enjoyed it. Eastwood is almost 80 but he never ceases to amaze me with his fantastic actor/director skills.

EDIT: I finally got to see Inglorious Basterds and it certainly is another classic from Tarantino. A little long at times, but that's how his movies work best, you learn to like or despise some characters during seemingly trivial moments and conversations. Highly recommended.

Hmm. It was drawn out and boring. And I like Quentin Tarentino. Deathproof and From Dusk Till Dawn are among my favs from him. But Inglorious Bastards didn't do much for me.

Well, that's not exactly some real Tarantino right there (From Dusk Till Dawn is not even directed by him if I'm not mistaken).
Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill part 1 & 2, that's the real deal, and those are very similar in style to Inglorious Basterds.

Yeah, you are right. As it turns out FDTD was only written by Tarentino.

Reservoir Dogs is the only "real" tarantino.
Although Robert Rodriguez (director of FDTD, Sin City, Desperado, and many other similar movies) does often times "pay homage" to tarantino with imitation...

I had never seen The Pianist with Adrien Brody, and I actually thought it was just as good as Schindler's List. It did not start out quite as dramatic but it got better and better along the way.

I also saw a documentary called The Peace!, which was quite good. It looks back at how the invasion in Iraq spawned a new anti-war movement, and what a giant masquerade ensued from the media.

I just finished watching "Yeopgijeogin geunyeo", which has been remade as "My Sassy Girl", as much as I like Elisha Cuthbert, I heard the Hollywood version is pure rape.

I must say, I was sort of sceptical about the movie for it being Korean and all, but I was open to the movie and it...captivated me. I thought it's one of the better movies I've seen in a long time. Loved it.

I know it's the "last" movie you watched, but ill go ahead and mention the last two since I haven't gotten around to watching many lately
Watched the new Halloween 2 movie about a week ago, and don't get me wrong, I have always been a big fan of the Halloween movies but this one was a little out there. Still enjoyed it but I believe Rob Zombie took it in the wrong direction.
Also a few days later I watched the new Gamer movie.. Also another great movie, although it took me a few mins to get into it.

Al Ka Pwn wrote:District 9. It kicked all kinds of ass. Not only because it's a movie with aliens in it, but the underlaying storyline about different races coming together through adversity was quite moving. And there was stuff being blown up in it as well.

I hear that movie is just great from everyone who watched it. I haven't watched it yet, but I am planning to buy it on DVD or BD. I will probably watch it in my small theatre room. I like it better than watching it in theatre for some reasons.

If anyone hasn't watched Hangover, please go ahead and do. That movie was actually really really good. I thought it was brilliant.
