I meant it was a depressing day over here today, everyone was moping around about how Holland got beat.

EDIT: Totti makes it, Italy advances. Personally, I dont see what happened as much of a foul. The Italian player just tripped over Neil who was already there previously from a missed tackle. It was about to finish anyways, referee shouldnt have called it, too crucial of a time to be called at such a time and have it decided by a penalty, was just a really slight trip, not really worth of having a foul called.

Australia plays hard and BETTER for 90 minutes and that's how they're rewarded? To me, it looks like preferential treatment, just because Italy is Italy.

It's a shame...Australia was one of the more hard-working teams.

That was very upseting. The penalty was hardly his fault, he missed the tackle and the guy just fell over him. I wanted Australia to take it, that's just very upseting.

Even if it was any other time, this call would have still be iffy. Neil had just lied there from a missed tackle, and the Italian player just tripped over by himself. Referee shouldnt have called it at such a crucial time...you cant let a penalty finish the game like this...it was barely foul. The Italian guy just purposely (k, not necessarily purposely, but he could have easily avoided the colision) ran at him and tripped over Neil. Sucks for Australia...you guys should have won.

The Italian player had about a step and a half before he got to Neil, that was very deliberate.

That was an extremely boring game but the Penalties are always exciting. Ukraine is moving on.

Officialy, the worst game on WC so far. Damn, I took a half an hour nap and when I woke up, still nothing happend .

And the worst thing is that they're fucking saying in every fucking channel that they played a lot better than Australia and that they deserved to win! FUCK I'm gonna kill somebody (Probably Mazzola, a fucking 70-year-old idiot, who played for Inter and is making the fucking commentary on Rai).
Australia just hit Italy in the ass hard, they played really good, and they deserved to win. Italy just did nothing, I think the only one that actually was with the mind on the pitch was Gattuso. From Australia nice game for Bresciano and Viduka.
I now just hope Italy gets 4 goals from Ukraine, and gets like half of the team injured, I don't fucking care even about Juventus players because they're all leaving because Juve will go to Serie B, so Ukraine, kill them all! And be sure to kill Lippi too!
Btw, Switzerland-Ukraine = Worst international game I've seen since Paraguay-Bulgaria in World Cup 1998.

It was a boring game, the most exciting moment was when Shevchenko and Frei hit the posts. Well at least Ukraine won, Italy up next.

Tough luck for the Australians, but the Azzuri advance despite playing to 1/8th of their potential and Australia dominating the second half. Their were two bad decision in the game, first being the red card for Materazzi which was max a Yellow and then the penalty. I think the Ref saw it as Lucas Neill purposely causing a block but I think he just tripped, but to be honest it really looked like Neill dived when you look at it from the Ref's angle but then again Grosso made a real big deal out of it. Probably should have carried on considering the time of the game and let it go to ET, giving a penalty for that in say the first half would make sense but when it's 75-25 type of thing in a playoff game I think it's best to not give a penalty.

But I'm happy to see the Italians through since their the only ones I'm rooting for since our boys are out.

Despite me being from Serbia I supported the Aussies all the way. Lucas Neill was already on the ground (he missed the tackle) and the guy just ran into him and fucking dived. Fucking stupid referee.

Also, one thing that I noticed, the refereeing has been fucking terrible at this year's World Cup, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the worst ever.
