so during the tutorial they have you rob a store. while i was in the middle of this someone came up from behind and tried to kill me. lucky for me they suck so i was able to kill them and get their money also. so far online has been a blast but for some reason it is not showing me as being a member of any crew. also it does not have the license plate i made with the ifruit ap. maybe that happens after the tutorial which i have not fully passed yet?

I got stuck at the session thingy for the race, so I quit. Ill try again now though before I dive back into 2k14

Yeah I got stuck there too. That was the furthest I got so far. Going to try again. How long are you supposed to wait for the first mission to load?

so i just spent all day online and i kept trying to join up with the crew but it always said no one was on. i assume the system is still having issues? gonna watch a movie and then will be on again for several hours. say 8 eastern.

am level 16 now with about 90k in funds. need to start investing in better weapons though. shotgun not gonna cut it much longer i think. so much fun

yea, each time i try I can't get into that first damn race. I'll try again today.

I had to leave and go do something. It took about 15 or more minute during "loading session" to get in. It froze on me when I got out of loss Santos customs and couldn't get back on. There were some glitchy issues during the first mission as well.

I don't have any missions available in the story mode and Michael is grayed out. Anyone know what is supposed to happen or what I need to do?

EDIT - Found out there is a bug that won't let people progress. Also, I noticed that Trevor and Michael are now combined since Trevor has all of Michael's clothing(that Trevor can also wear) available when changing clothes. Apparently it's all due to the title update released with the online update. Some people have got it working by deleting the update or loading an older save.

So yea, online. The character I spent time on is still stuck at the race. The female I made with default settings is fine (as all hell) and playable....so, I'm a chick. There needs to be an automatic mute everybody button. Playing with kids sucks, playing with kids speaking french? Fuck, That.

It just isn't for the first mission but I also keep getting stuck at loading even after that. I think I'm still at tutorial stage of online mode.

i wish there was a universal mute for free roam mode. that is really all that i ask. save the chat for missions or whatever but in freeroam i dont want to hear anyone else.


so i never made it on last night, feel a sleep watching the movie so i will try again tonight to see who is on. love the online so much i am finding it difficult to finish the story mode. though i am really getting into the story at the same time. not enough free time damn it lol. i figure if i am having so much fun online with all these random idiots it will be unspeakable levels of epic awesomeness when i get to group with everyone here

so when this starts working right and we can game together who is up for doing some 1 lap races? hands down the fastest way to earn cash in this game so far. i am sure when we can do heists those will give bigger rewards assume whoever runs the show splits the cash equally

I actually made some progress to the point where I could actually see other humans playing. Robbed a store with another dude, he got the cash, I got nothing. Thanks asshole.

Then they led me to a Team Deathmatch, which wouldn't start. Assuming because nobody else gave a fuck and I was there by myself. The worst part about GTAO is that you can't back out of loading screens and shit.
I'm sitting there, knowing that this shit will never start, literally can't do nothing but stare at my screen or turn off the console. The latter is what I eventually did.

I don't really get how the couple of people on this huge ass map are supposed to all do the same thing and do something productive.

I logged on today, tried online, and got a black screen.

On a more positive note that Trevor train death is one of the funniest videos I've seen in some time.

Online is awesome now that I figured out the missions/jobs part of it. Freeroam will be fun with you guys, but with randoms.....

...some kid was freaking out about some hacker that was going to take over his account if he didnt pony up $80 in-game cash. Like, verge of tears that the GTA$ store was taken down so he couldn't use real money. Logged off before I could get the capture thingy going though

I tried earlier this morning and online is working again. They have a new patch which allows me to actually go online. Best part of it is being able to go immediately online at the loading screen, instead of having to go to SP and then pick your online character. I'll be skipping the SP experience more often now.

I had an insane amount of fun earlier racing with Lamar and running missions. The people online are stupid, though. For the drug mission, 4 of us went into a car, and the driver didn't even drive. I had to carjack another guy to get there. Then 2 other people died...so there's like one guy trying to get the drugs while I'm far behind shooting gang members

Also, I was still getting adjusted to the controls, so I was firing out of the car with LB and triggering cops

This online mode seems to be fixed, at least for now. Had a blast online

played online for half n hour, it's just idiots running around trying to kill each other, I got hunted down and killed 4 times in a row within 10 minutes by this guy....

I'll give online another shot, but this is the sole reason I'm an offline guy for pretty much every type of game aside from shooters like Battlefield...... because of idiots, and i mean i honestly didn't expect anything less knowing the type of players majority of GTA owners are anyway, so i was kind of expecting it

Missions online are much better than free roam IMO. And it uses a good/bad player thingy for quiters too

Been distracted by NHL 14 but I will probably start playing Online again tonight, hoping loading-screen bug is gone. I can't wait to meet you guys online. I will even let you guys kill me as I suck WHOLE LOT at aiming.

Anyhoo, speaking of kids, I can't understand kids playing this game. What sane minded parents would let their kids play this game. It's just wrong. I've seen parents and grand-parents lined up on launching day to buy this game for them. They were asking if they were waiting for the right game which their kids asked them to buy for them. Fucking tarded parenting, boils up my blood pressure. Kids cry, they just buy anything to shut them up. What nice loving parenting is that.
