Lol he lists his strengths but seemingly has no weaknesses

Thu Mar 29, 2007 12:20 pm

Ofcourse he doesn't. He's been there, done that.

Thu Mar 29, 2007 8:22 pm

Whether you guys realized my post is 100% made of fun, I don't know, but I didn't even notice the weaknesses -part...
I definitely have weaknesses, but I can't seem why someone concentrates on a thing like that in a post like that. :D

What comes to my nickname Mini Garnett... It's something my teammate throwed up one time at practice, 'cause I'm a fan of KG. It has nothing to do with my playing style, physical form, or anything else that has to do with playing the game itself...

So tell me Jackal, is it that you have some kind of wicked rage against me or my post, or do you just talk trash, laughing your ass off back home?

Thu Mar 29, 2007 11:12 pm

I didn't really get your last line, but my ass is just fine here with me. I can laugh without losing my ass.

Thu Mar 29, 2007 11:38 pm

What I meant with my last line... was that are you seriously irritated for what I posted about my "basketball profile", or is it just that you're joking and making it sound like you're serious?

I don't really get any of your lines... And that is something that definitely annoys me, because I don't have any kind of irascibility against any one here on the forums. Certainly not against you, because I've never read your posts before.

Fri Mar 30, 2007 12:15 am

 Dude, I was just ragging on you, don't let it get to you. In your terms, I was just playing around.

Enjoy the forums. (B)

Fri Mar 30, 2007 12:23 am

"ragging on you" now that's a new expression... Didn't find it from the dictionary

Well that's just what I meant, man! You are lauhging your ass off---->rotflmao? Ever heard  Meaning you're laughing very much...

Fri Mar 30, 2007 1:00 am

Okay, now I went from not caring to knowing you're a nincompoop.

Only an idiot couldn't find "ragging" in the dictionary. I hope you were referring to the book/online book that looks up words and that "the dictionary" isn't just another word for your miniscule...we know you like to nickname stuff. Mini KG.

For the nimwits that don't know how to use the internet, I give you..."ragging".

Name: Ty
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 68kg
Age: 21

Preferred Position: PG
Playing Position: SG or Low Post (cause nobody else can play there and pass out)
Experience: On and off for a few years
Favourite NBA Player: Steve Nash
Realistic NBA Comparison (And Why): Mark Pope - cause he wasn't that good.

Strengths: can play the post effectively, decent hands, aggressive defender, not afraid to take a charge, average passer, good at making layups
Weaknesses: Inconsistent shooting, height, can be a step slow cause of bad knees, confidence can really affect my game, can be reluctant to shoot when open, hit and miss at the line

Favourite move you can do: Score in the post as the tall opponents never expect a drop step from a short arse like me.

Favourite move you've done once: 3 point play to take the lead, the shot was a spinning lay up off the board at full speed.

Favourite place to shoot: Inside

Biggest shot you've made:Turnaround jumper in the post over a chinese centre at my uni to play specifically for the rep team.

Best game you've played: Played with a lot of confidence and ran the offence well, hit open shots, racked up a few assists and hit the boards.

Most satisfying moment: Taking a crucial charge in the closing minutes of a big final.

Most shameful moment: Numerous easy lay ups missed and high speed dribbling mistakes.

Most regretted moment: Over-reacting to getting elbowed in the kidneys on numerous occasions by a player, so next time he went for a lay up I pushed him out of the court mid air.

Most painful moment: Dislocating the same finger twice on the one night

Basketball Goals for the future: First game back this wednesday, so basically play good fundamentals, hit some shots and have fun.

Ok let's stop this conversation. With a dictionary, I was referring to a small finnish-english-finnish -book. I guess that's not the most used expression for "making fun of", as I understood it. Well whatever, I don't know why you got insulted and I don't care.

So if you have some angry inhibitions you'd like to throw at me, please feel free to send me a pm or whatever you want. Here might be people who don't want to read you calling me a retarded or a nimwit. Because I'm neither of those.

Fri Mar 30, 2007 1:24 am

Hehe, Mark Pope wasn't that bad okay, he made the NBA, didn't he?

Best of luck with the game on Wednesday, if you push someone out of the court mid-air, try having a friend tape it.

The Mark Pope comparison is meant to represent my standard in the league I will be playing in. Building up my confidence by taking the piss out of myself

And if I perform any decent intentional/flagrant fouls I will be sure to let you know. But I think I will be a bit reluctant at this stage as I only know one of my other team mates. So I don't want them to think I'm a psycho, plus I will probably want my team mates to get my back.

Tue Apr 10, 2007 9:42 am

Name: Anthony
Height: 5'11-6'0
weight: 65kg
Age: 14

Preferred Position: C (My team is like made of people who are like 5'6)
Playing Position: C
Experience: 1.5 yrs
Favourite Nba player: LeBron James & Carmelo Anthony
Realistic NBA comparison( And Why): Though this is a little far-fetched, I like to think of myself as a Shaq type player because of my rebounding and blocks.

Strengths: Blocking, Rebounding and Lay-ups
Weakness: Jump Shot is ok, but it could be better - My speed isn't as good as the rest of my team - I don't make many free throws.

Favourite move you can do: Our PG passes the ball to me in the key with my back to the ring, turn around and do a small fade away.

Favourite move you've done once: Blocking a guy when he was going for a three.

Favourite place to shoot: In the key.

Biggest shot you've made: 3 Pointer - I blocked somebody, ran up the court, someone on my team passed me the ball and I saw someone coming up so I quickly took a 3.

Best game you've played: 9 Points, 10+ Rebounds, 2 Blocks - We lost the game 30-28 though.

Most satisfying moment: When I had my best game.

Most shameful moment: Missing a really easy lay-up on a fast break...

MOST regretted moment: In my first game, I constantly passed the ball off. Now that I think about it, I would have preferred to take the chances.

Most painful moment: No injuries yet..

Basketball Goals for the future: Improve my jump shot.

------------------

All my team is really short, the tallest guy next to me is 5'7. Though in our division it is pretty fair, there is always 1 tall player and the rest are smaller than him and the same height as the rest of my team so yeah. Our team (Hawks) are coming 3rd in our Division and I think even if we don't win in 2 weeks (our next game) we still make the semi's. :)
