Well, I thought the first one was very decent, it was not only cool but it was pretty well written too. But the two sequels after that were very forgettable indeed.

That.

Although I think the first one is more than decent. Really good. In the latter ones they lose the roles for the entire ensemble and it's more about Clooney, Pitt, Roberts, etc. Kinda like the ending of Thirteen though.

Brad Pitt always eating something is one of my favorite running gags in films though.

Watched Slapshot and Fletch for the first time yesterday.

Slapshot-Started out with absolute hilarity...but other than alot of one liners: not all that funny of a flick. Paul Newman is great of course but greatest hockey movie of all time? *shrug* maybe i just dont get hockey. 20 minutes of gold, then 1 hour 40 minutes of storyline.

Fletch-This made me life quite often. Not that funny or original script but chevy chase delivering the one liners all back to back the way he and few others can do make this a worthwhile movie. Not perfect but not bad

I watched SexDrive Unrated. It said in the beginning that you should watch the theatrical version first. I guess I should have since the unrated one included a couple bloopers in the movie. Lots of random superimposed naked chicks were added to several scenes, along with some cocks and balls in others. As for the movie, I thought it was pretty funny.

Fletch is good stuff. I remember reading somewhere that he improvised alot of that movie.

Fuck Disney: The first Narnia movie stayed true to the book, left out little and added some depth.

The second one made me want to break the dvd in half....1-2 scenes in the movie happen in the book.

I rarely watch movies, but I finally got around to watching Anchorman last week. Was pretty funny (Y) . Steve Carrell's complete randomness makes me laugh.

Haha, the random chicks walking from one side to the other were hilarious. I didn't like the bloopers though, there were one or two scenes where the swang the camera to the set.
Good movie I'd say, Amanda Crew is pretty hot.

saw the punisher war zone. another great action movie. I loved the over the top bad guy and how they tried to make the whole movie look like the comic.

Miracle at St Anna is a great flick, some solid Spike Lee right there. A bit too long at times, but a great movie nonetheless.

Body of Lies was also pretty damn good, typical Ridley Scott flick with so much tension you can cut it with a knife.

Just got through watching Taken with Liam Neeson. He plays a former government spy/agent whose daughter gets kidnapped in Paris, and of course he attempts to rescue her. Good action if you like mostly non-shooting fights with not too much "Hollywood" fighting and some slightly shaky cam but not as extreme as the Bourne series. I enjoyed it for the flick it was. It's not too deep with the story or character development, but a little corruption and some ass kicking.

If you have seen it or don't care to see it...
I was thinking Neeson's character could have been an obsessed father doing anything to get his daughter back. He could have setup the knife attack on the singer and the kidnapping and framed the stepfather or stepmother in a ploy to get his daughter back. It would have been a sick twist.

I really liked Blindness. It doesn't look like it did too well here in the US, but there was a lot of great life analogies going on with that movie, and it was really efficient at making you believe what you were watching. I wasn't expecting anything less from the director of City of Gods or The Constant Gardener. I'd definitely recommend it.

Watched Slumdog Millionaire last week and Seven Pounds today. Fantastic movies, I haven't watched such brilliant movies in a while. Especially Seven Pounds, just how everything that kept you guessing through the first half of the movie vows together later...
Slumdog Millionaire was great too, maybe a bit disssapointing end. Jamal should have somehow found out 'bout his brother, not just do the happy dance xD

That would make a nice DVD extra.

Ditto with el badman on Blindess. A good recommendation.

Watched Slumdog Millionaire and Changeling (with Angelina Jolie and directed by Clint Eastwood).

I actually thought Changeling was better than Slumdog Millionaire in terms of storyline, but both were very good movies. Both highly recommended. In Slumdog, after the movie ended and the credits rolled, that was kinda weird to see... ah, Bollywood people. Angelina Jolie did a good job acting in her role.

Two more movies I recently watched: Milk and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Sean Penn was convincingly gay as his character, and deserved that Oscar. I thought the acting all around was excellent. As for Benjamin Button, that was a touching story. A long movie, but a good story about someone who was born old and ages backwards in life.

The only movie I have watched right now is Yes Man starring Jim Carrey. Good film but not that kind of a comedy film. Jim Carrey is really good when it comes to those "crazy" characters.
