I'm wondering if all kinds of MMO rpgs are really banned in Australia.
Fri Feb 20, 2009 12:01 pm
Now I've been playing NBA 2k9 for PC and Saints Row 2 for PC. I'm playing Fallout 3 here and there.
Right now I'm downloading Perfect World. Must satisfy MMO craving!

Dependings on the rating I guess, since there's no 18+ classification for video games in Australia.

Holy cow, Mass Effect 2's teaser trailer up:

The devs have thrown a late 2010 date for Mass Effect 2. Can't come soon enough...
I just finished Dead Space for PC last night. It was pretty good, but the controls really kept it from being totally enjoyable for me. I wasn't asking for FPS-type of controls, but something like Splinter Cell, Hitman or even GTA would have been fine. The mouse+keyboard controls are just embarrassing for this game. And at the end, it became more of a Doom 3-kind of gameplay, expecting monsters to jump out of dark corners and stuff, not so much the creepy experience it could have been...

I've got to finish the first one.

Far Cry 2 I heard is a quite a good game. I will give it a try. As for Mass Effect I already beat the game on Xbox 360. That was a great game. Very well made. 3D shooting rpg seem like a new cool genre, even for non-fan 3D shooter person like me. Cuz once you go Counter Strike, Team Fortress 2 Online Shooters, you don't usually miss single player shooters.

It has been said that in Wikipedia and the BioWare website (darn that the EA logo is visible on the Mass Effect microsite), that the release will be either on late 2009 or early 2010. Could be in time after I finish the coming Dragon Age.
And yeah, it was also said that the game can make use of the save game of the Mass Effect 1 so that the events, and subplots you have made will be carried over to Mass Effect 2.

Defense Grid is the best game of 2008 none of you own but should buy just to support the devs.
Also,
Team Fortress 2 is $10 again to celebrate Scout Update.
There's other games to play? (Oh yeah, Prince of Persia, second best game of 2008. And Burnout Paradise, third. CoH, SR2, DoD:S, Mirrors Edge, PF2008, MH, etc. etc. Also need to prep for epic UT3 update.)
And if you haven't played
Gravity Bone (it's FREE) then what the hell is wrong with you?

Just finished GTA IV for PC and as expected, not much replayability value so I guess I'll just sell it.
Brilliant game at times, with compelling story and characters, and so many cool sights and sounds, but I couldn't really get past its major flaws, mainly the bad performance and the fact that they removed all the cool customization features from San Andreas.
Still a great gaming experience overall.

After looking at an article on cracked about some video games, I found Heart of Darkness. It's a kids game, but it is pretty cool. It's a side scrolling platform game made by the developer(s) of Out of This World, which I also loved and hated. I don't think I ever finished that game.

I remember playing that one on Playstation I think. It was lots of fun.

Hey Kite, is Saints Row 2 any good? I was thinking in getting it but, I don't know.

Yes.

I find Mass Effect's graphics look better than that of Fallout 3's. Both share the same "short plot" if you do the main quest straight up. Mass Effect's conversation animations and voice acting are just sweet. Amazing job by BioWare.

Crysis
Some kid I know thought his laptop ran it better than my desktop, proved him wrong and decided that I should finally play it.
