An Attack From This Site?

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

It's not us. There are other phpbb forums getting this problem. http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=2124046

For now, if you have adblock, add

http://l3sd.co.cc*

to the list of blocked sites.

I never got any virus, maybe because I am running noscript and adblock, or maybe because I ended some java programs that were running in the background, like the java updater.

Firefox wouldn't let me access the site until I disabled security.

Seems we've cleared it out and Google has unflagged us accordingly. Good to know we're not the only ones who were affected by this too. Apologies for this everyone, hopefully we'll be in the clear from now on.

well, sometime through this we've beat out National Language Service Corps for the top result for NLSC in google, but we still have that "this site may harm your computer" thing, which will probably go away soon.
Opinions are my own.

Should do, I haven't had the warning come up and Google's Webmaster Tools shows us as being in the clear.

Good to know that. I thought the 'attack' came from a disgruntled patching collective.

same here. on IE, the first time i tried coming here it would lock up my IE and then IE would ask me if i wanted to run a plugin from a site, the http://l3sd.co.cc, and i cancelled it. so i managed to avoid the virus

You shouldn't pick up any more infections from here as everything should now be clean. As I said before, run a Malwarebytes scan; it should clear up any infections and it's free.

shadowgrin, chrome and firefox keep warning me ,but i guess it's because of your browser history.Your browser has the history collected, which shows that NLSC had malware in the past ,and therefore warning you about it.I believe it's the same like me.Try to delete cookies

That was my first guess but AVG just found a virus, Win32 Heur that affected nba2k10.exe. Had to delete the exe but AVG sill reported that it was still trying to do something from the recycle bin system folder. Deleted it completely and uninstalled the game. Just when I was 30 plus years into my association. No pirate shite btw, original game installed.
Still trying to find out if it's just a false positive from AVG but with it still being detected on the recycle bin grave, I'm a bit cautious.
