Re: What is your go-to-move in basketball?

I play like a short, unathletic, unskilled Antoine Walker....so my go-to move is jacking up a bad 3 and missing.

At least you/others have chances at rebounds.

Camping with my heels on the 3pt line so that I can step in and make the long 2. making 3s is just too much for me mentally
Also like George7 I like to do a dream shake, especially on 1 on 1 fastbreaks. For some reason i just need to hold it up and everybody jumps

If not taking shots, I try to size up, cross and lose the ball, but 1 out 8 I get through and then either I am afraid of the center and just float it up or a make a bad pass.

On defense my favourite move is to push the defender without extending my arm when he drives on me. Then they start to complain but who would think that I could possibly push somebody if Im only 44% of Lebrons weight at 5'12

You're 5 foot 12? That's called 6 feet tall.

btw, today was a school tournament and i dad that dream shake on the fast break again. worked to perfection.

If he grabs an offensive rebound (somehow), he's probably gonna jack up another bad 3, and miss it.

Which is why I added the "/others" part in there. This way, other players can jack up bad 3s and Repole can grab a defensive board and the game keeps itself going.

Forever.

So for example if you're 5'3" you can defeat a 10-foot tall player? Amazing.
Or if you're 120 lbs. you can dominate a 220 lb. player? Astounding.

Muggsy blocked Ewing once.
136 lbs 5'3 vs. 240 lbs 7'0.
Houndy is proved wrong.

Learn maths people.
136 twice is 272. 240 is not 272.
5'3 twice is 10'6. 7'0 is small compared to that.
He's still right.

Yeah well the only thing keeping me from the NBA is some silly rule about wheelchairs not ramming into people..
Lets disregard i have no shot, no height, no handles.

I'm still the greatest! Lewho?

Ha i actually was inspired by Live 08(yes...something good came out of that game) to come up with goto moves. I started doing fadeaways becuase i don't jump high and easily get blocked on my jumpshots, so a fadeaway over the right shoulder(i can go from the left shoulder but frankly it doesn't look half as cool :-!). i never play organized bball before so i have no fundamentals. I practice those fadeaways alot-more than regular jumpshots so i can actually knock them down consitently(not really but i like to think so). But after i learnt how to do this, i started doing this all the time and everybody started predicting it and they just waited and as soon as i went up, they blocked the shit out of it, so i started working on my handles(which i still am) but im decent at handling and since im so big(a nice word for fat) i can do a basic crossover and drive at the basket with little resistance(some ppl call it a charge, i say this is not the NBA BITCH) and layup so i actually keep ppl off balnce cuz they don't know if im driving or not.
Bottom line mix ur game up so u can keep defenders off balance

Well, I'm the only with balls to play phyical with a guy who's a monster compared to me. My school, too much chickens

Well I'm really athletic for a 6'1" white boy. Can dunk with ease. I'm not that good at offense, but I always guard the best player on the opposite team as defense is really my thing. I'm actually strong for my frame, so people get surprised when they get pushed around by me. I like to play ruff bball. On he offense really all I can do is catch & shoot while making 15% of my shots. I am good at driving due to my athleticism however.

I'm an old man so have no game left. Go-to-move is to the bench.

Have to run up and down the court and try? Or have front-row seats?

Easy choice.

Re: What is your go-to-move in basketball?

I just realized something really strange. So I was shooting around for like an hour, so I decided to take 100 free throws and then take 100 3's from all around the arc. I counted how many I made.

I made the same number of 3s as I made free throws: 39. Yes, I shot 39% from the FT line. Is there any NBA player who has 39% shooting from the FT line? I think even Shaq and Ben Wallace are in the 40s and 50s. To cap it off, I shot 39% on threes, which was a pleasant surprise.

Go-to move: determined.

DeAndre Jordan shoots 38% from the line for his career. But really, how the hell is your FT% the same as your three-point %? Makes no sense.

Re: What is your go-to-move in basketball?

Sat Nov 27, 2010 1:05 pm

I shot 100% from the three point line and 0% from the free throw line.
