Finally got this game. It's good, but damn it's hard to make money (without cheats) at the start. Really loving the open world and not having to worry about any loading times.
Anyone got any stories about their sims? I'll post once I get more into the game and it's not just work/home/work etc for my sim lol

My sim does not do anything different yet than yours. The game is a nice change of pace from what I usually play.

Yourself?

I made a friend and my sim was happy. Then I did something rude and that made him even happier. He is evil. I'm also growing a shit load of lettuce and am in the middle of making everything self cleaning.

I just got this game too and made a family of 3. Myself as a baby, hot mom, and emo sister. I also downloaded money cheat just in case I might need.

I will post how things go.

Bump, how do you do custom stuff here?
Sun Oct 11, 2009 12:30 am
goto C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3
create a file called Resource.cfg
in that file with notepad paste this in
- Code:
Priority 500
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*.package
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*/*.package
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*/*/*.package
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*/*/*/*.package
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*/*/*/*/.package
then create this file structure
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages
place package files in there. if the mods come with the sims3pack use the launcher to install
i recommend this to download first, sliders are located with the advanced mouth sliders

Thanks Jon. Been wondering how to do your own content without really depending on the online resource for mods made by others. I used to do WWE shirts for Sims 2 before.

This allows us to change properties of the Sim that where previously unchangable, and achieve a more realistic Sims game.
The following sliders are included:
- Breast Depth
- Breast Distance (Cleavage)
- Breast Fullness
- Breast Scale
- Breast Vertical Height
Okay then.

Hey, I like my Sim titties (the mod isnt really that great)
I used to do a lot of objects for the sims 1, mostly recolors, but that was a long while ago.

Haven't checked it out yet. I'm looking forward to doing WWE shirts again.

holy muthah check this shit out
http://nraas.wikispaces.com/StoryProgressionTHIS is what I wanted Sims 3 to be like. Create a person/family. Move in. Enable mod (it pops up). And Every, Single, House is populated with sims. Not just populated, living, creating relationships, having babies, dying, inheritance, actual job bosses and shit living in the same town. Its like.....awesome.

Best part IMO, 3 clicks is all you need to do to switch the "active" household. Just try it if you have the game installed. wow.

I think you've been playing that mod even before you knew about it Jao, that thing you call real life.

Ssssssssh. We weren't supposed to tell him.

Much easier getting mad at my sim for playing computer games instead of improving skills....instead of being mad at myself for playing computer games instead of improving skills.
Sat Apr 13, 2013 10:25 pm
That's what you have a family for. They can get mad at you and save you the trouble.

Is my futzing around for a whole 30 minutes with an old game and an awesome mod really turning into a game vs life discussion?
Sun Apr 14, 2013 7:22 am
We started it, you got into it. Mwah. Ha. Haaaaa.

Mon Apr 15, 2013 11:06 am
I have an estimated $215 worth of items acquired from 2,625 hours of idling TF2 that can be converted to real monies if I can be bothered to setup a Paypal account.
Holla holla get dolla!
Mon Apr 15, 2013 11:18 am

Mon Apr 15, 2013 11:20 am
