I've definitely acquired a taste for beer. I never used to like it, but as I got older it grew on me.

I don't see what the fuzz is all about regarding Guinness. I mean it's a fine beer, it's just when it comes to stout, there's much, much better to choose from.
I had some Courage Russian Imperial (1993 bottle) on Saturday. Definitely one of the best beers I've ever had. Very full-bodied, dense and oily, almost no head at all and zero carbonation just as I like. The alcohol is noticeable (which is a good thing for some people,) but other than that I wouldn't change a thing about it. It sure blows dry stout out of the water.

Guinness is cool, but defenetly not the best beer, that's why it has the number 2 spot for me....

The thing about Guinness is that its really only elite when you are in Dublin, and the closer you are to the brewery the better it is. In the rest of the world not only is it made differently for export, but it is exported solid, so you are really drinking horse shit if you aren't in Ireland. I'll go for Murphys over Guinness in Cork, and Beamish is a good stout as well, but as far as Dublin goes, Guinness is the best.

PiksS, it was more of a general statement, not in any way referred to you. I dig your list, Uzavas is pretty awesome.
